By Denis Sheehan MIH, Publisher, H&C News: Foodbuy head back to The Belfry to further support IoH Youth Council.
Following the announcement in June from the Institute of Hospitality of their golf day in partnership with Caterer.com officially being an annual event, we are delighted to announce Foodbuy, the procurement division of Compass Group, are supporting the day again in 2023.
Back in May, the inaugural golf day took place, a day that brought more than 80 industry people together, raising £5,225 for IoH Youth Council.
Now another of the 2022 teams coming back is Foodbuy, and Karl Atkins, Managing Director at Foodbuy explained why: “At Foodbuy we are proud to be in our second year as a gold business partner to the IoH.
“We continue to work closely with them to offer educational guidance, influence change and create a more sustainable future for the hospitality industry.
“We are looking forward to meeting and connecting with others across the industry and for a great day of golf.”
Institute of Hospitality Chief Executive, Robert Richardson FIH appreciative of Foodbuy’s ongoing support responded by saying: “The IoH Youth Council provides valuable support for young professionals as they set out upon their hospitality careers.
“I look forward to welcoming Karl and the Foodbuy team back to The Belfry next May, and on behalf of the IoH membership thank them wholeheartedly for their ongoing support.”
Next year’s event will additionally see each four-ball team provided with two buggies, and every player with a sausage roll and a drink at the halfway house, courtesy of Cleaning and Maintenance Sponsor Two Services.
