Institute of Hospitality Golf Day in partnership with Caterer.com now officially an annual event

June 23, 2022

By Angela Green, Content Executive, H&C News: Institute of Hospitality Golf Day in partnership with Caterer.com now officially an annual event.

The inaugural Institute of Hospitality Golf Day in partnership with Caterer.com was a huge success in many ways, most importantly raising £5,225 for the IoH Youth Council.

Reflecting on the day Robert Richardson, FIH, CEO of the Institute of Hospitality told us: “The inaugural Institute of Hospitality Golf Day in partnership with Caterer.com raised more than £5,000 to support our Youth Council, further helping young people in developing their hospitality careers. It also brought more than 80 industry people together for a day that was both truly hospitable, and from feedback received judged unanimously enjoyable.

“As such, I am delighted to announce that due to such an incredibly successful first event the Institute of Hospitality Golf Day is now officially an annual event.

“The day will once again be organised by H&C News, and held in partnership with Caterer.com.

“I would like to thank all the golf teams that took part, as well as all the generous donations for our auction and prize draw from so many wonderful hospitality businesses, and The Belfry Hotel and Resort on being the perfect hosts of the day.

“I look forward to 2023 with confidence that we will build on what has been achieved to date.”

Robert Richardson’s idea to create the golf day was supported by partnering with Caterer.com to make it happen. We spoke with Paul Rogers, Sales Manager, Caterer.com who explained that support saying: “Caterer.com are committed to supporting IoH and their initiatives such as the Youth Council, that enable new talent in the sector. Fundraising for the IoH matters, to help them continue to widen the pool of people they can support.

“The golf day organised by H&C News was an incredibly popular and enjoyable event, bringing together key brands from across hospitality, in a common interest and cause. When an event feels good and does good – that’s the perfect combination! We’re delighted to sponsor the event again in 2023.”

A full review of the day can be seen here including a video of the day as it unfolded.

In 2023 the Institute of Hospitality Golf Day in partnership with Caterer.com will take place on 26th May at The Belfry Hotel & Resort.

The teams that took part this year will have the option to re-book for 2023 before we open opportunities for new teams to join. A four-ball team including dinner in the evening is £1,195.

If you are interested in joining the event is 2023 simply drop an email to organisers H&C News via – Editor@HandCNews.com – If once the re-booking process is completed teams are available, one of the team at H&C News will let you know.
