Saint Paul’s Market in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter will celebrate its first birthday with five days of food, drink, live entertainment and independent makers from 23 to 27 September.

The food hall officially opened on 25 September 2025 and has welcomed more than 300,000 visitors during its first year.
Anniversary events will begin with a Midland Press wine tasting on 23 September, followed by live music and birthday celebrations on 25 September.
The programme will conclude with Birmingham Artisan Market on 27 September.
Throughout the week, visitors will also be able to experience DJs, food specials from the venue’s eight traders, a birthday cocktail, football screenings and additional drinks experiences.
Located on Mary Ann Street in the Jewellery Quarter, Saint Paul’s Market occupies a 10,000 sq ft former industrial warehouse.
The venue brings together eight independent Birmingham kitchens and two bars across two floors, with seating for 500 guests.
Its current food line-up comprises Colbeh, Soi, Corner Shop, Chancer’s, Tiger Bites Pig, Zindiya, LA-POP and Oak ’n’ Roll.
The offer ranges from Persian cooking and Thai barbecue to Detroit-style pizza, fried chicken, Taiwanese bao, Indian street food, gelato and Vietnamese-inspired coffee and bakery products.
Saint Paul’s Market was created through a collaboration between Liverpool’s Baltic Market, Independent Birmingham and Buddha Belly, with the venue focused on supporting independent food and drink businesses.
Joe Schuppler, Founder of Independent Birmingham, said: “It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since we opened Saint Paul’s Market.
“We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve created with our brilliant traders and partners, and so grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way.
“We wanted to celebrate our first birthday in true Saint Paul’s style – with great food, drinks, music and plenty of good times!”
Tim Haggis and Oli Press, Co-Founders of Baltic Market, added: “It’s been brilliant to see Saint Paul’s Market thrive over its first year.
“We knew Birmingham had an incredible independent food scene, and it’s been amazing to see that come together under one roof.
“We’re really proud of what the team has created and can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with everyone!”
Sai Deethwa and James Fitzgibbons, Co-Founders of Buddha Belly and Soi 1268, said: “We’re hugely passionate about championing quality independent food, so bringing Saint Paul’s Market to life alongside Independent Birmingham, Baltic Market and our brilliant traders has been incredibly exciting.
“To see it become such a buzzing part of Birmingham’s food scene in just one year is amazing, and we can’t wait to celebrate everything we’ve built together.”
Outside the anniversary programme, Saint Paul’s Market regularly hosts live music, DJs, football screenings and a monthly artisan market in partnership with Birmingham Artisan Markets.
Its drinks offer also focuses on local producers, including Birmingham breweries, wines from Midland Press and spirits from Spirit of Birmingham.
The five-day anniversary programme will run from 23 to 27 September 2026.
