Beer Battered Onion Rings Roll In To Country Range’s Catalogue

September 2, 2026

Country Range is helping operators spruce up their snack and side menus with the launch of its new Beer Battered Onion Rings that keep their crunch for at least 30 minutes.

Perfect for tapping into the continued popularity of elevated sides, sharing dishes and loaded menu favourites, the new rings give caterers an easy way to add extra flavour, texture and value across the menu.

A super sidekick for an array of mains or impressive when served by the pint glass, these crafty crowd-pullers are made with whole Spanish onions, selected for their naturally sweet, mild flavour and firmer texture, inside a crisp beer batter. Larger and more uniform in size for an impressive serve, they are available in 10 x 1kg packs through the Country Range Group network of independent wholesalers.

Their versatility goes well beyond the traditional burger accompaniment, with the rings equally at home alongside steaks, sandwiches, piled high as a standalone sharing dish, or used to add crunch and theatre to dishes such as French onion soup.

Suitable for vegans, vegetarians and lactose intolerants, they come frozen and can be cooked in the oven in 10-12 mins, air fryer in 10 mins and deep fried in less than 3 mins.

Rachel Porter, Country Range Group Own Brand Manager, said:

“Onion rings have become a must for menus and are the ultimate snack staple that are margin deliverers when served solo or just as valuable paired up with burgers, sandwiches and street food dishes. With customers increasingly looking for familiar favourites that deliver on indulgence, flavour and texture, it was important that our new onion rings offered something extra.”

“Using whole Spanish onions gives them a naturally sweet, mild flavour and satisfying bite, while their larger uniform size creates a really impressive serve. Crucially for busy operators, they’ll keep their crunch for at least 30 minutes under a heat lamp, helping maintain that all-important crispy texture during busy services. With oven, air fryer and deep-fryer cooking options, they’re an ideal choice for fast-paced kitchens looking for a versatile, quick-serve menu addition.”
