KIBOU has confirmed that its new Birmingham restaurant will open on Temple Row on Monday 12 October.

Bookings are now open, including for two soft launch dates on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October, when guests will receive 50% off food.
Ahead of the opening, KIBOU will give away free sushi platters to 100 people outside the restaurant at 61-63 Temple Row on Tuesday 8 September.
The giveaway will run from 12.30pm to 2.30pm, with platters featuring a selection of handmade nigiri, uramaki and sashimi accompanied by wasabi and ginger.
The promotion takes inspiration from the number eight, which is associated with prosperity and good fortune in Japanese culture.
Those who miss out on a platter will be offered scan-to-win cards, with prizes including restaurant vouchers, sake, Kirin Lager and KIBOU’s Volcano Roll.
All entrants will also be entered into a draw to win £100 to spend at the restaurant.
Located within Birmingham’s Colmore Business District and overlooking Cathedral Square, the new KIBOU will accommodate up to 200 covers across a bar and lounge, open sushi kitchen, main restaurant and private dining space.
The menu will combine traditional and contemporary Japanese dishes, including chicken karaage, pork gyoza, tempura, sushi and sashimi, A5 Joshu wagyu beef, ramen, katsu curry and teriyaki.
A standalone bar will serve Japanese-inspired cocktails alongside Japanese whisky, sake and umeshu.
The interiors will feature original hand-painted and digital murals by Gloucestershire-based artist Martyna Sabadasz.
Gemma Hutchinson, Senior General Manager at KIBOU, said: “We’re so excited to be finally opening our doors in Birmingham. The team is busy putting finishing touches to the restaurant, and we can’t wait to show people what we’ve done with the place.
“We’re very much looking forward to welcoming our first guests through the door in October, whether they’re quick enough to secure a spot on one of our soft launch sittings, or they join us from our official opening date.
“For now, we hope you enjoy a first taste of KIBOU on Temple Row next week, good luck!”
KIBOU currently operates six restaurants across England.
The group has also announced plans for a 210-cover flagship restaurant in Covent Garden, London, scheduled to open in early 2027. The Birmingham and London openings will take the estate to eight restaurants.
