Junkyard Golf to Transform Liverpool ONE Site into First Junkyard Social Club

September 11, 2026

Junkyard Golf Club is set to transform its Liverpool ONE venue into the UK’s first Junkyard Social Club this October as the competitive socialising brand broadens its offer beyond crazy golf.

Junkyard Golf to Transform Liverpool ONE Site into First Junkyard Social Club

The 14,000 sq ft site, located on The Terrace within Liverpool ONE’s dining and leisure quarter, will become the first venue in Junkyard’s portfolio to adopt the new format.

Opened in March 2019, the Liverpool location will retain crazy golf while introducing a wider mix of live entertainment, karaoke, games and drinks designed to extend the venue into an all-night social destination.

One of the site’s original courses, Gary, which was themed around a ‘scrapyard disco’, has been removed to make way for a UV karaoke room and a new area for bookable activities.

These will include interactive darts and pool alongside arcade games including Dance Revolution, Guitar Hero, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Point Blank and Ms Pac-Man.

A new stage will also be installed near the entrance to accommodate live entertainment.

The bar area is being refreshed and will include a pool table and interactive darts board available on a walk-in basis without advance booking.

A dedicated American-style cornhole area will provide another activity for guests between bookings or those visiting primarily for drinks.

The transformation forms part of Junkyard’s strategy to develop the business beyond its original crazy golf proposition and create venues capable of offering several activities under one roof.

The Liverpool Social Club will act as the initial blueprint for potential expansion of the format across Junkyard’s wider UK portfolio.

Since opening in Liverpool ONE in 2019, the venue has recorded more than 700,000 games and over 20 million golf balls played.

Sam Jones, Managing Director at Junkyard, said: “Liverpool has always been one of our best-performing sites, so it made sense to make it the first to evolve into Junkyard Social Club.

“This isn’t just a refresh – it’s the next chapter for the brand, and a blueprint for how we want Junkyard to look and feel in the future.”

The move comes as competitive socialising operators increasingly combine multiple games, food, drink and entertainment within single venues rather than building concepts around one core activity.

Junkyard Social Club Liverpool is scheduled to launch at Liverpool ONE in October 2026.
