HOSPA has appointed Ryan Haynes as Head of Industry Engagement, with responsibility for leading the development of the National Hotel Marketing Conference.

Haynes will work with HOSPA and the Hotel Marketing Association (HMA) to shape the future direction of the established industry event following its acquisition by HOSPA in September.
The National Hotel Marketing Conference has been running for more than 20 years and brings together hotel marketing and commercial professionals.
Haynes brings two decades of experience across hospitality marketing and PR and has been involved with industry events including the Hotel Marketing Awards, HOSPACE, the International Hotel Technology Forum Europe and Independent Hotel Show London.
He is also the founder and host of the Hoteliers’ Voice podcast and UK Roundtable Roadshow and has worked alongside HOSPA as a partner during the past year.
In his new role, Haynes will lead programme development for the 2027 National Hotel Marketing Conference, which will take place at Hilton at St George’s Park on 27 May.
HOSPA and the HMA will work with members, delegates and industry partners over the coming months as they develop the programme around the changing requirements of hotel marketing professionals.
Haynes said: “There’s a lot to look forward to as we shape the future of hotel marketing through the National Hotel Marketing Conference. The role of marketing is massively evolving, and this provides great opportunity to create a programme that reflects the challenges and opportunities facing professionals today.
“We want the conference to be a place where people share ideas and learn from one another, while taking away practical insights that support them in their roles. I’ll bring my certain flair working with HOSPA and the HMA to build on the strong foundations that already exist.”
Jane Pendlebury, CEO of HOSPA, said: “Ryan has felt like an extended member of the HOSPA team for some time, having worked closely with us through a number of initiatives over the past year. His experience and energy, combined with his wider understanding of the hospitality landscape make him a natural fit to help us develop the National Hotel Marketing Conference.
“The acquisition of the conference provides another opportunity for HOSPA to support the marketing community, complementing the work of the Hotel Marketing Association and creating more opportunities for professionals to connect, share knowledge and learn from one another.”
The National Hotel Marketing Conference became part of HOSPA’s events portfolio in September, when the association acquired it from founder Martin Evans of The Tourism Business.
Further details of the 2027 programme and registration will be announced ahead of the event.
