The team behind Liverpool’s Diego’s Demise is to open a new two-floor music-led bar, DeeDee’s Den & Dive, on Wood Street on 12 September.
The new venue will take over part of the Black Rabbit Shot Co site in Liverpool city centre and follows the launch of Diego’s Demise in late 2024.
Billed as ‘Diego’s little sister’, DeeDee’s will combine live music, a free jukebox, flavoured whiskies and American-inspired food.
Its live music programme will span country, classic rock, rock ‘n’ roll and singalong favourites, with the venue also planning to provide a platform for emerging musicians from across the Liverpool region.
Management is currently looking for local solo performers, duos and trios to join the entertainment programme.
The venue will operate across two floors and open in phases from September.
The upstairs ‘Den’ will launch first, serving food including American pancakes and bacon butties.
A basement space, known as the ‘Dive’, will follow shortly afterwards as the concept develops its late-night offer.
The drinks selection will include an extensive range of flavoured whiskies, while a free jukebox will allow customers to choose music throughout their visit.

“DeeDee’s is all about great music, incredible atmosphere, and proper late-night hospitality. Whether you’re stopping by for great tunes, a stack of pancakes, or a late-night flavoured whisky, DeeDee’s is going to bring a fantastic, welcoming vibe to Fleet Street.”
DeeDee’s Den & Dive will begin its phased opening on 12 September 2026.
