Harbour Hotels Acquires Brooks Guesthouse to Expand Bristol Hotel to 72 Rooms

September 9, 2026

Harbour Hotels has acquired Brooks Guesthouse Bristol as part of an expansion of its existing Harbour Hotel Bristol operation.

Harbour Hotels Acquires Brooks Guesthouse to Expand Bristol Hotel to 72 Rooms

Located beside St Nicholas Markets and close to Harbour Hotel Bristol, the independent guesthouse will continue to operate under the Brooks Guesthouse name while undergoing an extensive refurbishment programme.

Work is scheduled for completion in February 2027 and will include the addition of three bedrooms alongside a redesign of the existing accommodation and courtyard.

Brooks Guesthouse currently comprises 27 rooms, including four distinctive ‘retro rocket’ caravans.

The caravans will remain part of the accommodation offer following the refurbishment.

Once the project is complete, the guesthouse’s bedrooms will be integrated into Harbour Hotel Bristol, increasing the combined room inventory across the neighbouring properties to 72.

The acquisition expands Harbour Hotels’ footprint in Bristol while allowing the group to add accommodation to its existing city-centre operation.

Guests staying at the property will also have access to Harbour Hotel Bristol’s existing spa, restaurant and leisure facilities.

The two properties are located within Bristol’s Old Quarter, close to St Nicholas Markets and the surrounding restaurants, cafés, galleries and cultural attractions.

Mike Warren, CEO of Harbour Hotels, said: “It’s never straightforward to extend your footprint in city centre locations and we closely followed this opportunity to bolt on 30 keys to our existing city asset.

“In terms of Harbour Hotel Bristol’s future performance, it’s a game changer.”

The acquisition forms part of Harbour Hotels’ continued focus on growing its portfolio across distinctive city and coastal destinations in the UK.
