Equinox Resort AMAALA has opened at Triple Bay on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast, marking Equinox’s second hotel globally and its first outside the United States.
Located within Marina Village, the resort forms part of Red Sea Global’s developing AMAALA destination and brings Equinox’s performance-focused approach to fitness, recovery and wellbeing to the region.
The property comprises 128 rooms and suites across six accommodation categories, including two penthouse suites, alongside 21 branded residences.
Designed by Foster + Partners with interiors by Rockwell Group, the resort takes inspiration from the Red Sea coastline, marine environment and surrounding mountain landscape.
John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, said: “The opening of Equinox Resort AMAALA introduces a distinctive new dimension to the destination’s wellness offering.
“Equinox has built a global reputation around high-performance living, and bringing that expertise to AMAALA reinforces our ambition to create a destination where wellness, sport and luxury come together in a truly differentiated way.”
The resort incorporates 704 sq m of indoor and outdoor training space, representing the largest fitness facility within AMAALA.
Guest accommodation has been developed around Equinox Hotels’ sleep science platform and includes circadian lighting designed to support guests’ internal body clocks, acoustic isolation to reduce sleep disruption and precision climate control.
A 1,602 sq m spa forms another major element of the resort’s wellbeing offer.
It incorporates the Equinox X Circuit, a seven-stage regeneration experience, alongside treatments and technologies including cryotherapy, infrared sauna, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, hydrotherapy and contrast temperature therapies.
Guests also have access to four outdoor swimming pools, including a lap pool, leisure pools and a rooftop magnesium salt pool overlooking Triple Bay, AMAALA Marina and AMAALA Yacht Club.
The food and beverage offer has been developed around Equinox’s approach to nutrition and includes Mint + Co, Soho Souk, Sama Ai and EQX Den.
Each concept has been designed to combine dining with the resort’s wider focus on health, performance and recovery.
Equinox Resort AMAALA joins a growing collection of luxury hospitality brands at Triple Bay as Red Sea Global continues to develop the destination around wellness, sport, culture and lifestyle experiences.
Once complete, AMAALA is expected to comprise more than 1,600 hotel rooms across nine resorts, alongside branded residences, wellness facilities, a marina, retail and dining.
