Wotton House in Surrey has launched the BBQ Boardroom, a new outdoor meetings concept combining corporate events with open-fire cooking and food-led networking.

The concept makes use of the hotel’s 13 acres of Italianate Gardens, with the purpose-built Garden Kitchen providing space for meetings and outdoor dining for up to 100 delegates.
The venue is covered by a stretch tent and features integrated AV and Wi-Fi, allowing it to accommodate strategy meetings, presentations and other corporate events alongside more informal activities.
Breakout sessions can take place on the surrounding lawn, while the firepit can be used for discussions and team-building activities.
Once formal sessions have concluded, the concept shifts towards outdoor dining and networking, with menus focused on locally sourced ingredients and sharing-style barbecue dishes.
Produce grown on the Wotton House estate is incorporated into working lunches and evening menus.
Dishes include wood-fired pizzas finished with honey produced by the hotel’s own beehives, alongside Wotton’s Edible Garden featuring pickled baby vegetables, hummus and dark rye soil.
The BBQ Boardroom is available for exclusive hire and can be incorporated into programmes ranging from half-day meetings to multi-day residential events, supported by accommodation at Wotton House.
Additional activities can include gathering seasonal ingredients from the hotel’s Edible Garden, chef-led cooking demonstrations and collaborative outdoor dining experiences.
The space has been designed for year-round use, with covered seating and heating available during colder weather.
Corporate groups can also combine the outdoor venue with Wotton House’s existing indoor meeting and event facilities.
Edward Adshead, General Manager at Wotton House, said: “Our BBQ Boardroom offering responds directly to what we’re seeing from corporate bookers, which includes demand for spaces that balance experience, productivity with wellbeing and genuine connection.
“Our fully functional meeting environment combined with an outdoor, food-led experience delivers on both business outcomes and delegate engagement, and brings a bit of the Wotton magic to the proceedings.”
