The Queens Hotel Leeds has appointed Bob Fairweather as General Manager, strengthening the leadership team at the landmark city-centre hotel.
Fairweather joined the property in March 2026 from LGH Hotels, where he was Regional General Manager based at The Queen at Chester.
During his time with LGH Hotels, he had responsibility for a portfolio of properties across Liverpool, Preston and Wrexham alongside his leadership of the Chester hotel.
Fairweather brings extensive hotel management experience, having previously held senior positions with a number of major hospitality brands.
His career has included serving as Dual Site General Manager of Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre and Holiday Inn Express Manchester City Centre, as well as General Manager of Marriott Manchester Airport.
Fairweather has since been publicly identified as General Manager of The Queens Hotel, including during the hotel’s partnership with Opera North in May.
In his new role, he will focus on the hotel’s operational performance, team development and guest experience while strengthening its position across leisure, corporate, conferences and events.

“My priority is to support and develop our talented team so we can continue delivering exceptional experiences for every guest.
“We also have a number of exciting projects planned across the hotel, including investment in colleague facilities and the creation of a new café bar.
“I look forward to building on The Queens’ strong reputation and ensuring it remains a destination of choice for both local residents and visitors.”
The current Queens Hotel building opened in 1937 and occupies a prominent position on City Square alongside Leeds railway station.
The 232-room property is owned by Pandox and operated as an independent hotel under a management agreement with Axiom Hospitality. Pandox acquired the hotel in 2023 for approximately £53 million.
Fairweather succeeds Alistair Campbell, who left The Queens earlier this year after five years as General Manager to take up a new role with Valor Hospitality Partners at DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Piccadilly.

Fairweather’s appointment comes as the hotel prepares for further investment, including improvements to colleague facilities and the development of a new café bar.
