Galgorm Collection has completed a £150,000 transformation of the Galgorm roundabout near Ballymena as part of its wider investment in the local community.
The two-year project began in 2025, when the hospitality group invested £100,000 in restoring the structure of the roundabout, including its stone wall and existing tree planting.
A further £50,000 has been invested this year to introduce 865 roses, 800 box hedges and 50 multi-stemmed silver birches.
The birches will also be underplanted with daffodils later this year, creating an additional seasonal display from spring.
The project was led by Stephen Mackle, Head of Grounds at Galgorm Resort.
The investment forms part of a wider programme of community activity undertaken by Galgorm Collection, which employs more than 1,400 people across its hotels, restaurants and golf operations.
The group also works with local schools and colleges and supports sporting organisations including Cullybackey Blues FC, Netball NI and the Antrim Camogie Minor squad.

Mackle added: “It’s been a real privilege to oversee this transformation. Getting the planting right takes real planning.
“We chose the roses and box hedging for structure and long-season colour, while the silver birches will add height and movement as they mature.
“Underplanting them with daffodils later this year means there’ll be a fresh display come spring, so the area keeps evolving through the seasons.”
Galgorm Collection has expanded its hospitality portfolio and workforce over the past decade, alongside increasing its involvement in community and economic initiatives across the region.
The investment comes ahead of the return of the NI Legends golf competition to Galgorm from 4–6 September 2026, which will welcome spectators and professional golfers to the resort.
