Etto Caffé to Open at Frasers Plus Designer Outlet Leeds

August 19, 2026

Family-run café concept Etto Caffé is to open at Frasers Plus Designer Outlet Leeds as the shopping destination continues to expand its food and beverage offer.

Etto Caffé

Operated by MASS & CO, the new café will occupy a prominent corner location at the outlet and incorporate a sizeable outdoor dining terrace.

The opening will add an independent family-operated concept alongside existing food and drink operators at the centre, which currently include 200 Degrees Coffee, Chopstix, Costa, Greggs, Starbucks and Bakers + Baristas.

Etto will operate as an all-day café, serving brunch dishes, coffee and freshly prepared food, with the outdoor space designed to provide additional dining capacity during warmer months.

The brand describes its wider offer as centred around coffee, all-day brunch and light lunches, with its locations operating outside central London.

Etto Caffé forms part of MASS & CO, which is owned and operated by the Massarella and Bergomi families.

The wider Massarella family business has a history stretching back more than 150 years, beginning after Giovanni Massarella and his brothers emigrated from Italy and eventually settled in South Yorkshire.

Its origins were in ice cream production before the family moved further into retail catering.

Massarella Catering Group currently describes itself as operating almost 60 coffee shops and restaurants across the UK, employing close to 1,000 people and working across shopping centres, department stores, garden centres and other retail environments.

Etto has previously established cafés in shopping and outlet destinations.

Its Dalton Park location in County Durham opened in November 2021 with a menu spanning drinks, brunch, artisan cakes and Italian gelato, and remains in operation at the outlet.

The new Leeds-area café will continue the operator’s focus on retail destinations while introducing a substantial alfresco element to the concept.

Rachel Scott, Head of Leasing at Global Mutual, said: “Etto Caffé brings something genuinely different to the outlet.

“Its strong family values, locally driven approach and emphasis on creating welcoming social spaces make the brand a natural fit for Frasers Plus Designer Outlet Leeds.

“As we continue evolving the destination, it’s important that our food and beverage offering reflects a mix of well-loved brands and independent concepts that add character and variety to the visitor experience.”

The centre is located at Tomahawk Trail in Glasshoughton, Castleford, despite trading under the Frasers Plus Designer Outlet Leeds name.

Its current food and beverage line-up has recently expanded through operators including Nottingham-founded speciality coffee business 200 Degrees and Asian quick-service restaurant brand Chopstix.

Etto said locally sourced produce will be used wherever possible, with dishes prepared fresh on site.

Joeseph Massarella, Operations Director at Etto Caffé, said: “We are delighted to partner with Frasers Plus Designer Outlet Leeds and look forward to welcoming local people and visitors to the region with our well-known family hospitality.

“Our mission is to create spaces and menus for everyone. We believe in local business and source our produce from local suppliers wherever possible, serving fresh dishes, prepared daily on site.”

An opening date for Etto Caffé at Frasers Plus Designer Outlet Leeds has yet to be announced.
