Conrad Nagoya Opens in The Landmark Nagoya Sakae

August 21, 2026

Hilton has opened Conrad Nagoya in partnership with Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd., marking the debut of its Conrad Hotels & Resorts luxury brand in Nagoya.

Conrad Nagoya

The 170-room hotel occupies the upper floors of The Landmark Nagoya Sakae, the tallest skyscraper in the city’s Sakae district, and is directly connected to Sakae Station.

Its opening expands Conrad’s global portfolio, which now comprises 51 hotels across five continents, while strengthening Hilton’s luxury presence in Japan.

Dino Michael, Senior Vice President and Category Head, Hilton Luxury Brands, said: “Conrad is a brand defined by curiosity, confidence and a deep connection to place, and Nagoya is a compelling expression of that point of view.

“The city brings together extraordinary craftsmanship, culinary culture and contemporary energy, creating exactly the kind of destination where Conrad can offer something distinctive and relevant to today’s luxury traveler.

“As the portfolio grows, properties like Conrad Nagoya strengthen the brand by adding new layers of character, culture and discovery while remaining unmistakably Conrad.”

Situated within Nagoya’s business and shopping district, the hotel provides access to attractions including Nagoya Castle and Atsuta Shrine, as well as connections to destinations across Central Japan including Ise and Takayama.

Joseph Khairallah, Area Vice President, Head of Japan, Korea and Micronesia, Hilton, said: “The opening of Conrad Nagoya, in partnership with our valued owner, Mitsubishi Estate, marks an important milestone for Hilton.

“Nagoya has played a significant role in our history since the opening of Hilton Nagoya in 1989. The debut of Conrad Nagoya further reinforces our commitment to this vibrant destination, and we look forward to delivering memorable experiences for guests from Japan and across the globe.”

The hotel comprises 170 guestrooms, including 29 suites, each measuring more than 50 sq m and featuring floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city.

Guestrooms include bespoke metal artworks inspired by the movement, light and energy of the Sakae district.

Located on the 40th floor, the 213 sq m Conrad Suite combines panoramic city views with residential-style accommodation.

Six Restaurants and Bars

Conrad Nagoya operates six restaurants and bars across its 31st and 40th floors, with menus drawing on ingredients and culinary traditions from the Tokai region alongside Japanese and international influences.

SUNDROP serves as the hotel’s lobby lounge and bar, offering afternoon tea, cocktails and internationally influenced dishes.

CASA OLIVA focuses on Italian cuisine alongside a wine list featuring more than 100 Italian labels, while SONGBIRD offers speciality coffee, pastries and seasonal sweets.

On the 40th floor, SORYU serves a contemporary sushi kaiseki menu, while SOEN focuses on teppan kaiseki rooted in Japanese culinary traditions.

The food and beverage collection is completed by rooftop bar HOUSE OF MON, which serves cocktails alongside views across Nagoya.

Wellness and Events

Conrad Spa includes four treatment rooms, an indoor swimming pool and sauna facilities, supported by a 24-hour fitness centre.

Meeting and event facilities are located across the 10th and 11th floors.

The 342 sq m Grand Ballroom features an eight-metre-high ceiling, while the Akari meeting spaces can be configured as four separate rooms.

The facilities have been developed for corporate meetings, social events and celebrations, supported by audiovisual technology and a dedicated events team.

Guests will also have access to the brand’s Conrad 1/3/5 programme, which provides destination experiences designed around one, three or five-hour itineraries.

Activities available in Nagoya include cocktail-making, traditional tea ceremonies, craft beer experiences and miso-making workshops, alongside opportunities to explore Arimatsu Shibori, the Japanese tie-dyeing craft with a history stretching back around 400 years.

Atsushi Nakajima, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd., said: “We are delighted to open Conrad Nagoya. The hotel serves as the symbolic centerpiece of The Landmark Nagoya Sakae, a development envisioned as a hub for cultural exchange and value creation.

“By welcoming Conrad Hotels & Resorts, a globally renowned luxury brand, we believe Nagoya’s Sakae district will further strengthen its position as a gateway for visitors from Japan and around the world, evolving into a vibrant destination where diverse cultures and ideas converge.

“From this landmark location, we look forward to showcasing the appeal of Nagoya to the world and working closely with the local community to drive sustainable growth for generations to come.”

Conrad Nagoya joins Hilton’s growing luxury portfolio in Japan, with future Conrad properties planned for Yokohama and Kobe.
