The Hari London, The Hari Hong Kong and forthcoming The Hari Singapore are to join IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Vignette Collection under a new three-hotel agreement with Harilela Group.

The 85-room London property and 210-room Hong Kong hotel will join IHG’s luxury and lifestyle collection brand later this year, while The Hari Singapore will become the collection’s first hotel in Singapore when it opens in 2027.
The agreement extends a relationship between Harilela Group and IHG that has developed over more than five decades and will take their partnership to six hotels across Asia and Europe.
Alongside the three Hari properties, the relationship includes Holiday Inn Golden Mile in Hong Kong, Holiday Inn Express Changzhou Center and Holiday Inn Bangkok Silom.
Vignette Collection was launched by IHG in 2021 to provide independent hotels with access to the group’s distribution, commercial infrastructure and IHG One Rewards loyalty programme while allowing properties to retain their individual names and identities.
The collection currently comprises 38 hotels across 17 countries, with a further 46 properties in development. IHG is targeting more than 100 Vignette Collection hotels within the brand’s first decade.
Recent additions include The One Shanghai Downtown, Palm Springs Hotel Chengdu and CIEL Dubai Marina, while further openings are planned across destinations including Malaysia and the Maldives.
Dr Aron Harilela, Chairman and CEO of Harilela Group and founder of The Hari brand, said: “The Hari expresses these ideals through genuine, heartfelt hospitality and impeccable service steeped in my family’s decades-long hospitality legacy.
“Our design-led hotels serve as gateways to the art, culture and communities that define their destinations.”
The Hari’s hotels have been designed by British interior designer Tara Bernerd and incorporate rotating art collections featuring established and emerging artists.
The brand also runs destination-led experiences in London and Hong Kong, including The Hari Neighbourhood Guide Audio Tour and Wan Chai By Night.
Its wider cultural programme includes The Hari Art Prize, which supports emerging artists, alongside charity partnerships and environmental initiatives.
Harilela added: “After decades of owning and developing hotels, we distilled the Harilela Group’s collective experience into a brand that reflects the qualities we always sought in a great hotel.
“The Hari embodies relaxed elegance punctuated by eccentricity, wit, culture and intuitive, heartfelt hospitality.
“Joining the Vignette Collection preserves The Hari’s character while connecting our brand to a global community of travellers who value individuality and authenticity.”
The agreement will also support the next stage of The Hari’s international expansion.
The Hari Singapore will be created through the conversion of the existing Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre, which opened in 1985 and is IHG’s longest-operating hotel in Singapore.
The 324-room property is currently undergoing a substantial transformation led by Tara Bernerd, who was also responsible for the interiors of The Hari London and The Hari Hong Kong.
Located close to Orchard Road and the historic Emerald Hill precinct, The Hari Singapore will become the third property under The Hari brand following London, which opened in 2016, and Hong Kong, which followed in 2020.
The Singapore hotel is expected to open during the first quarter of 2027.
The Hari London is located in Belgravia, close to Knightsbridge, Sloane Street and Hyde Park, while the Hong Kong property operates in Wan Chai between Causeway Bay and Admiralty.
Rajit Sukumaran, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, East Asia & Pacific at IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “With more than 80 open and pipeline hotels, Vignette Collection is tracking ahead of its ambition to reach more than 100 hotels within its first decade.
“Welcoming The Hari’s portfolio marks Vignette Collection’s debut in Singapore and strengthens our presence in London and Hong Kong.”
IHG’s announcement comes as the group continues to expand Vignette Collection through conversions and partnerships with independently positioned luxury hotels.
The brand’s portfolio now includes more than 80 open and pipeline properties worldwide, with The Hari agreement adding three hotels in major international city destinations.
