Brend Collection Manager Completes 180-Mile Charity Cycle Across Nine Hotels

August 26, 2026

A Brend Collection manager has completed a 180-mile cycling challenge across Devon and Cornwall, visiting all nine hotels in the group’s portfolio within 12 hours in support of Children’s Hospice South West.

Aidan Bike Ride Brend Collection

Aidan, Assistant Manager at The Victoria Hotel in Sidmouth, completed the Tour de Brend Hotels on Tuesday 25 August following months of preparation.

The challenge began at The Victoria Hotel before taking him across the South West, with colleagues from across Brend Collection welcoming him as he reached each property.

Aidan visited The Belmont Hotel in Sidmouth before travelling to The Imperial Hotel, The Park Hotel, The Barnstaple Hotel and The Royal & Fortescue Hotel in Barnstaple.

The route then continued to Saunton Sands Hotel on the North Devon coast before heading south into Cornwall, where he stopped at The Carlyon Bay Hotel and completed the challenge at The Royal Duchy Hotel in Falmouth.

Aidan also made a dedicated stop at Children’s Hospice South West during the challenge.

The charity, Brend Collection’s chosen charity partner, provides care and support to children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families across the South West.

Teams from across the hotel collection supported the ride at each stop while helping to raise awareness and encourage donations throughout the day.

Matthew Raistrick, Area Director at Brend Collection, said: “We are incredibly proud of Aidan and what he has achieved. Cycling around 180 miles and visiting all nine of our hotels in just 12 hours was a huge challenge, and his determination throughout the day was fantastic to see.

“It was also wonderful to see our teams across Devon and Cornwall getting behind him at every hotel. Most importantly, Aidan’s challenge has helped raise awareness and funds for Children’s Hospice South West and the invaluable support they provide to local families.”

Aidan crossed the finish line at The Royal Duchy Hotel in Falmouth to complete the Tour de Brend Hotels following approximately 180 miles of cycling.
