TRGC and Boparan Launch First UK Airport Slim Chickens at Heathrow

July 7, 2026

TRGC and Boparan Restaurant Group have opened the first UK airport Slim Chickens at Heathrow Terminal 3.

The 130-cover restaurant introduces the fast-growing US-born chicken brand to a UK airport environment for the first time.

The opening marks the latest milestone in TRGC’s long-standing partnership with Boparan Restaurant Group.

It follows the recent appointment of TRGC as Boparan’s preferred partner for UK airport openings for at least the next five years.

The Heathrow launch is the first Slim Chickens site delivered under that expanded relationship, with further locations already planned.

The opening reflects TRGC’s continued focus on bringing high-quality, experience-led dining concepts into major travel hubs, as passenger expectations around airport food continue to evolve.

Located within one of the UK’s busiest international terminals, the new restaurant will offer travellers a contemporary fast-casual dining experience built around cooked-to-order chicken, quick service and a vibrant atmosphere.

Slim Chickens is known for its hand-breaded chicken tenders, fresh buffalo wings and wide range of house sauces.

The brand has built a strong following through its focus on quality ingredients, Southern-inspired hospitality and made-to-order food.

The Heathrow menu will feature both breakfast and all-day dining options, giving passengers access to freshly prepared meals throughout the travel journey, from early morning departures through to evening flights.

Jonathan Knight, CEO of TRGC, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be launching Slim Chickens at Heathrow Terminal 3 and introducing the brand’s first UK airport location.

“As Boparan’s preferred partner for UK airport openings, this launch represents an important milestone in our growing relationship and reflects our shared ambition to bring differentiated, high-quality dining concepts to major travel hubs.

“With more openings in the pipeline, we’re excited about the opportunity to continue grow innovative brands within the travel sector.”

Richard Pigott, Managing Director at Slim Chickens UK, said: “The opening of Slim Chickens at Heathrow Terminal 3 is a huge milestone for the brand as our first airport location in the UK and the 3rd across Europe.

“Heathrow is one of the busiest airports in the world, making it the perfect place to introduce even more customers to our fresh, hand-breaded, cooked-to-order chicken.

“We’re excited to be partnering with TRG Franchise to bring the full Slims experience to travellers from around the globe and can’t wait to welcome guests through the doors.

“This opening also reflects the continued strength of the relationship between TRG Franchise and BRG, building on our existing partnerships across other BRG brands and extending that success into Slim Chickens.”

Fraser Brown, Retail Director at Heathrow Airport, said: “We’re excited to welcome Slim Chickens to Terminal 3 this summer, marking its first airport location in the UK.

“It’s a great addition to our lineup, bringing a well-loved brand and a menu we know passengers will enjoy.

“Working with TRGC and Boparan, this opening is part of how we’re continuing to refresh and strengthen our F&B offer – giving passengers more choice, making every journey better and building an airport that’s fit for the future.”

The Heathrow opening marks a significant step for Slim Chickens in the UK travel sector, while strengthening TRGC and Boparan Restaurant Group’s partnership around airport dining growth.
