The accolade places Santo among the highest-rated food and drink products judged in this year’s awards.

Recognised as one of the world’s largest and most trusted food and drink accreditation schemes, Great Taste receives more than 15,000 entries each year.

In 2026, only around 2.3% of products achieved the 3-Star rating, highlighting Santo Coffee as an exceptional product.

The award reflects BM Caterers’ commitment to quality across the workplace dining experience.

The company said coffee is playing an increasingly important role in employee wellbeing, hospitality and client satisfaction.

Santo forms part of Perkee, BM Caterers’ proprietary coffee brand.

Launched ten years ago, Perkee was created to provide a high-quality, hospitality-led coffee experience across BM’s client locations.

Over the past decade, the range has evolved to include a portfolio of coffees developed for different tastes and occasions.

BM has invested in building and growing its own coffee brand, allowing the business to retain control over quality, sourcing and flavour profiles.

The company said this ensures every cup reflects the same standards applied across its wider food and hospitality offer.

The recognition of Santo with a 3-Star Great Taste Award marks a significant milestone in Perkee’s development.

BM said the award provides independent endorsement of both the product and the caterer’s long-term commitment to exceptional coffee.

Santo’s success was complemented by recognition for another coffee within the Perkee range.

Aponte West, a Colombian coffee known for its distinctive flavour profile and 24-hour fermentation process, was awarded a 1-Star Great Taste Award.

BM said the achievement highlights the depth and quality of the wider Perkee portfolio.

It also demonstrates the company’s ability to develop coffees that meet the standards of customers and independent industry judges.

Graz Moroni, Head of Coffee and Tea at BM, said: “We’re incredibly proud that Santo Coffee has been recognised with a 3-Star Great Taste Award.

“Independent recognition at this level is incredibly rare and is a testament to the care that goes into sourcing, roasting and serving our coffee.

“To see Santo achieve the highest possible accreditation, while Aponte West is also recognised by the judges, is fantastic recognition of the quality and consistency we’ve worked hard to build across the Perkee range.

“Coffee has become an integral part of the workplace experience.

“Whether colleagues are grabbing a morning espresso, meeting clients over a flat white or taking a well-earned break during the day, we believe every cup should be exceptional.

“This award demonstrates our commitment to delivering quality without compromise.”

Santo Coffee is served across BM Caterers’ client locations.

It forms part of the company’s wider approach to creating engaging, hospitality-led workplace experiences through carefully sourced food and drink.

The Great Taste Awards are judged through a blind tasting process by chefs, buyers, food writers and industry experts.

Products are assessed solely on taste.

The 3-Star award is the highest level of recognition available and is reserved for products described by judges as truly exceptional.
