SeaSpace has announced the appointment of Andrew Kitching as its new General Manager.

Andrew joins the Cornwall-based hybrid hotel brand with more than two decades of hospitality leadership experience across hotels, restaurants, golf resorts and leisure destinations in the UK.
Originally from Devon, he brings a strong track record in operational leadership, team development and guest experience to the role.
At SeaSpace, Andrew will lead the team as the business continues to establish itself as one of the UK’s most innovative hospitality destinations, blending design-led flexibility and freedom with an independent, creative spirit on the Cornish coast.
Over the past 24 years, Andrew has progressed through senior leadership roles to General Manager positions at a number of leisure and accommodation businesses. His previous roles include General Manager at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire and more than five years leading two Parkdean Resorts properties.
In his new role, Andrew will oversee all aspects of the guest experience and day-to-day operations, while supporting the continued growth of the brand and its people-first culture.
Andrew said: “Joining SeaSpace was an opportunity to be part of something genuinely different. The ambition to redefine coastal hospitality, the freedom to help shape a new brand from its infancy and the chance to create a destination that people want to return to again and again made it an easy decision.
“It’s rare to find a business with such a bold vision, strong principles and an even bigger opportunity to make a lasting impact.”
Ben Harper, CEO of SeaSpace, said: “Andrew joins SeaSpace at an exciting stage in our journey as we continue to build a brand that pushes the boundaries of what hospitality can be.
“His extensive operational experience, passion for developing high-performing teams and commitment to delivering memorable guest experiences make him a great fit for our culture and ambitions.”
Over the last year, SeaSpace has been awarded Best Accessible Design Award at the 2025 Brit List Awards, ranked sixth in Business Cornwall’s Best Places to Work in Cornwall, and shortlisted for the Sustainable Business Award at the 2026 Cateys, with winners due to be announced on Tuesday 7 July.
SeaSpace is located on the coastline at the edge of Newquay, between Porth and Watergate Bay. The design-led hotel offers studios, large studios with bunk rooms, two and three-bedroom apartments, and accessible studios.
Facilities include dog-friendly accommodation, a 19m swimming pool and hot tub, SeaSpace café serving breakfast, brunch, coffee and lunch, a five-court Padel tennis club, gym and fitness studio, indoor and outdoor play areas, and partnerships with Padel UK, Tallo, Wavehunters, Origin Coffee Roasters and Rodda’s.
