Established over 260 years ago, Villeroy & Boch is a world leader in ceramics and lifestyle products which are sold in over 125 countries around the world. Founded in 1748, the company’s corporate headquarters are located in Mettlach, Germany on the River Saar, with over 21 production facilities in twelve European countries. The Hotel and Restaurant Division supply tableware, glassware, cutlery and accessories to some of the UK’s most influential chefs and restaurants including Raymond Blanc and Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons. Several new tableware collections are launched each year and recent new ranges include Urban Nature, Bloom Sun & Shadow, Flow Reed and the stylish cutlery range Gourmet Stars. The division is headed by Nick Green and has several dedicated UK agents working continually to provide the very best in tableware, glassware and accessories for the hospitality industry.

Introducing Damasco and Look
The first exciting new range is Damasco, a plain white tableware collection with a country-classic shape. The slight ridges around the outside edges give a soft natural feel for relaxed yet elegant dining.
The second new range, Look is simple yet sophisticated. It is a white tableware collection with a faint herringbone pattern on the rim. The addition of the herringbone design adds a slightly nostalgic feel and gives the ideal balance between modern and classic.

Urban Nature is a contemporary and stylish tableware collection. This elegant range brings a new dimension to sophisticated dining balancing modern aesthetics with functionality. The cosmopolitan collection with organic shapes and flowing curves has been inspired by natural and rustic forms and is available in pure white china to complement the simplicity of the design.
Bloom Sun & Shadow
The striking Bloom Sun & Shadow design offers a fresh take on modern monochrome ideal for stylish dining. The strong black and white elements are joined by a light gold floral motif giving a sophisticated and glamorous effect.
Flow Reed
Flow Reed is a simple yet elegant collection ideal for smart contemporary dining. The organic flowing shape of the cups, plates and bowls reflects the spirit and glamour of modern creativity while the reed pattern is a welcome update to the original Flow design.
Gourmet Stars
This new cutlery collection is unparalleled in its purist design and pursuit of the contemporary. Gourmet Stars has been developed to complement the creative gourmet movement and allow new food presentation methods. The original and innovative utensils interpret form and function for a bold design statement adding to the gourmet experience of fine dining.

The British Culinary Federation is once again, calling for young chefs from across the nation to compete in their prestigious Young Chef of The Year competition for 2010. Get cooking with Lisa Allen, Head Chef at Northcote
Born in Lancashire in 1981, Lisa very quickly realised that food was her passion in life as she excelled at Home Economics in school. After attending Lancaster and Morecombe College to study catering she joined the Michelin starred Holbeck Ghyll in the Lake District and later Le Champignon Sauvage in Cheltenham before becoming one of the youngest females to hold the Head Chef position at Northcote in Langho, Lancashire. In doing so joined a very small club of female chefs at the helm of a Michelin starred restaurants. Nigel Haworth was first awarded the star at Northcote in 1996 and has successfully retained the star ever since.
Lisa and Northcote’s passion for local produce and regional cooking has led her to win such accolades as Best Chef of the Year at the 2008 Northern Hospitality Awards amongst others. With Nigel’s eyes firmly set on a second Michelin star and with Lisa having reached the finals of the hugely coveted BBC2’s Great British Menu for 2010, Lisa Allen is well and truly on the path to becoming one of the most respected chefs currently plying her trade…more
