Preferred Hotels & Resorts has expanded its international portfolio with the addition of 28 independent hotels and resorts during the third quarter of 2026, marking the group’s largest quarterly intake since 2024.

The properties joined between 1 July and 30 September and span destinations across Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Indian Ocean.
The expansion includes historic city hotels, luxury resorts, boutique accommodation and established hospitality properties, extending the group’s international presence across its Legend, L.V.X. and Lifestyle collections.
Lindsey Ueberroth, Chief Executive Officer of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, said: “Welcoming 28 new members in a single quarter, our largest quarterly addition since 2024, marks an important milestone in the continued growth of Preferred Hotels & Resorts. Spanning dynamic cities, private islands, mountain settings, and historic landmarks, these additions broaden the reach of our global portfolio, with each hotel bringing its own character and connection to destination.”
Among the additions is UMusic Hotel Madrid in Spain, which joins the Lifestyle Collection.
Located in central Madrid, the 130-room hotel has a direct connection to the restored 898-seat Albéniz Theatre, combining accommodation with live performance and music-inspired hospitality.
The property also features the UMusic Piano Bar Casa Chicote, rooftop dining and drinks facilities, and a seasonal swimming pool.
In Italy, Palazzo Trezza in Verona has joined the L.V.X. Collection.
The historic Renaissance residence, which opened in spring 2026, offers 11 individually designed suites within Verona’s UNESCO-listed historic centre.
The hotel combines restored architectural features with contemporary accommodation and offers experiences connected to the city’s cultural and culinary heritage.
The expansion also includes Diamonds Thudufushi in the Maldives, an all-inclusive private island resort joining the Lifestyle Collection.
Located in South Ari Atoll, the resort features 69 beachfront and overwater villas, alongside restaurants, wellness facilities and access to the surrounding marine environment.
In the United States, Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club in Durham, North Carolina, joins the L.V.X. Collection.
Situated within Duke University’s campus, the 271-room hotel has undergone a multi-year refurbishment programme encompassing its lobby, suites, meeting spaces and outdoor terraces.
The property also features the Duke University Golf Club and several food and beverage outlets.
Japan’s historic Fujiya Hotel in Hakone is another addition to the L.V.X. Collection.
Established in 1878, the property has 120 guestrooms and suites across four historic buildings, incorporating Japanese and Western architectural influences.
Its facilities include natural hot spring baths, a spa, three restaurants and landscaped gardens.
In China, Hotel Banov Townscape Wuhan has joined the L.V.X. Collection following the restoration of a landmark building dating to 1910.
The 45-room hotel occupies the former Ba Gong Fang Zi building, originally developed by Russian tea merchants, and incorporates elements of the property’s commercial and architectural history.
Elsewhere in Europe, the latest additions include 360 Hotel Boutique Hotel and Spa in Iceland, Almar Timi Ama Villasimius in Italy, De Plesman Hotel The Hague in the Netherlands and Grand Tirolia Kitzbühel in Austria.

Preferred Hotels & Resorts operates an international representation model through which independently owned and managed properties can access global distribution, marketing and commercial support while maintaining their individual identities.
The group’s wider portfolio comprises more than 650 hotels, resorts, residences and hotel groups across approximately 80 countries.
Its I Prefer Hotel Rewards programme has more than six million members, with participating hotels offering benefits and points-based rewards to eligible guests.
