Wymara Resort + Villas in Turks and Caicos has joined Preferred Hotels & Resorts, expanding the independent hotel group’s Caribbean portfolio.

Wymara Resort Preferred Hotels & Resorts

Wymara Resort, Grace Bay Beach has become the first property in Turks and Caicos to join Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ Legend Collection, while Wymara Villas, Sunset Cove has joined Preferred Residences.

Located across four beachfront acres on Grace Bay Beach, Wymara Resort comprises 97 studios, suites and penthouses.

The property features a 7,000 sq ft infinity pool alongside food and beverage outlets Indigo, Blue Water Bistro and Pink Bar.

Its wellness offering includes The Spa at Wymara Resort, which provides 111SKIN treatments alongside products from Turks and Caicos-based Wildflower Skincare Lab and a daily wellness programme.

Wymara Villas, Sunset Cove is located on a private 15-acre peninsula at Turtle Tail, a short distance from the resort.

The development comprises 15 one- to six-bedroom villas, each with an infinity pool, while selected properties also feature over-water swim decks and waterslides into the sea.

Villa guests have access to the Sunset Cove Beach Club, which includes an ocean pool built into the coastal rock, a lap pool, tennis and pickleball courts and 111SKIN treatment suites.

The beach club is also home to Land + Sea, a waterfront restaurant serving island-inspired dishes.

Bruce Maclaren, Owner of Wymara Resort + Villas, said: “From the beginning, my goal was to build a resort where design, authenticity and the natural beauty of Turks & Caicos converge in a way guests can’t find anywhere else. Wymara Villas, Sunset Cove being named the country’s first and only Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star property, together with Wymara’s restaurants holding the top three positions on Tripadvisor in Turks & Caicos, is tremendous validation of what we have created.

“Today marks our next chapter: Wymara Resort, Grace Bay Beach becoming Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ first Legend Collection property in Turks & Caicos, while Wymara Villas, Sunset Cove joins Preferred Residences. We are proud to take our place among the world’s most exceptional luxury hotels and introduce Wymara to an even broader global audience.”

Lindsey Ueberroth, Chief Executive Officer of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, said: “Wymara Resort + Villas is a distinctive addition to our portfolio, offering two exceptional expressions of luxury within one remarkable destination.

“From the refined beachfront experience on Grace Bay to the privacy and seclusion of the villas above Sunset Cove, both reflect the thoughtful design, personalised service and sense of place that define the Legend Collection. The villas also represent a natural fit for Preferred Residences, where space, privacy and a more residential approach to luxury create an exceptional sense of exclusivity.”

Guests at Wymara Resort + Villas are now eligible to join I Prefer Hotel Rewards, Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ loyalty programme, which has more than six million members globally.
