Roadchef has agreed a new partnership with bp covering electric vehicle charging, fuel and convenience services across its UK motorway service network.

From 2027, bp pulse ultra-fast EV charging will be introduced at more than 30 Roadchef motorway service areas.
The agreement will support Roadchef’s target of providing 1,000 EV charging bays across its network by 2030.
As part of the partnership, Roadchef will also operate 12 bp forecourts, which will continue to sell bp-branded fuels alongside the company’s wildbean cafe offer.
The agreement brings Roadchef’s EV charging, traditional fuel and convenience operations together with bp as demand for charging infrastructure continues to develop across the strategic road network.
Jo Hayward, VP Mobility and Convenience Retail UK at bp, said: “We’re excited to be working with Roadchef building further on our already strong fuel supply relationship and bringing all our offers together to help give drivers what they want, when and where they want it on their journeys.”
Tim Gittins, Chief Executive of Roadchef, said: “This agreement will enable bp to expand the rollout of bp pulse ultra-fast EV charging across our sites and support our commitment to deliver 1,000 charging bays by 2030.
“Under the UK’s transition to zero-emission vehicles, motorway service areas will play a critical role in improving the availability of en-route charging points. bp brings the scale, experience and delivery capability needed to match our ambition, helping us move faster, invest with confidence and make charging more accessible to drivers across our network.
“It will also bring bp-branded forecourts under Roadchef’s operation, strengthening our fuel and convenience food offer for leisure and HGV drivers.
“Together, these changes will help us serve more drivers and give the business the scale and capability to meet the growing demand for EV charging across the UK.”
Roadchef is already investing in the wider development of its motorway service estate, including new food and beverage concepts, charging infrastructure and facilities for road users.
