Los Mochis is to make its U.S. debut in West Palm Beach in autumn 2027 as Thesleff Group begins the restaurant brand’s international expansion.

The restaurant will open at Phillips Point, a waterfront development overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway towards Palm Beach Island.
It will become the first Los Mochis outside London, where the concept currently operates restaurants in Notting Hill and the City.
The West Palm Beach opening will be followed by a second U.S. restaurant at One Beverly Hills in Los Angeles, currently scheduled for the first quarter of 2028.
Together, the openings will establish Los Mochis on both the East and West Coasts of the U.S.
The Florida restaurant will retain the brand’s Japanese-Mexican food and beverage offer while introducing elements developed specifically for its waterfront location.
Los Mochis will also bring its TENrei: The Art of Tuna experience to the U.S. alongside a separate 12-seat omakase restaurant.
Founded in Notting Hill in 2021, Los Mochis combines Japanese and Mexican ingredients and techniques, with a second London site subsequently opening in the City.
Markus Thesleff, CEO and Founder of Thesleff Group, said: “When we launched Los Mochis, people told us that combining Japanese and Mexican cuisine was crazy. We believed there was something powerful in bringing these two cultures together – and London proved us right.
“I studied in the U.S., so bringing Los Mochis to America is an incredibly personal and exciting moment for me. West Palm Beach feels like the perfect place to begin this next chapter. It is a city going through an extraordinary transformation, and Phillips Point gives us a truly exceptional waterfront stage.
“Related Ross shares our ambition to create destinations that have a genuine impact on the cities they are part of, and we couldn’t have asked for a better partner or a more exciting location for our U.S. debut.
“Our ambition is not simply to open a restaurant. We want to create a destination – somewhere people come to eat, drink, celebrate, discover, connect and make memories. Ultimately, hospitality is about making people happy, and we want Los Mochis West Palm Beach to become one of the most exciting and unique restaurant experiences in America.”
Kenneth Himmel, President of Related Ross, said: “Los Mochis selecting West Palm Beach for their US debut speaks to the kind of globally recognized hospitality coming to the region.
“Its distinctive approach to dining, design and culture will bring something entirely new to the city, while its waterfront location at Phillips Point will create an exceptional setting.
“We are proud to partner with Markus and Thesleff Group.”
Los Mochis forms part of Thesleff Group’s hospitality portfolio alongside Viajante87, Sale e Pepe, Sale e Pepe Mare at The Langham, Sale e Pepe Terrazza, MA/NA Mayfair, JUNO and LUNA.
The group strengthened Los Mochis’ operational leadership earlier this year with the appointment of Matt Gricius as Director of Operations, with a remit including the brand’s continued development and international expansion.
Further details covering the West Palm Beach restaurant’s design, chefs, menu and opening programme are expected ahead of its autumn 2027 launch.
