Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland has acquired The Bristol Hotel from The Doyle Collection and will rebrand the property as Leonardo Royal Hotel Bristol.

The acquisition will make the hotel the group’s second property in Bristol and its tenth Leonardo Royal Hotel in the UK.
Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland currently operates 63 properties comprising more than 13,000 rooms.
Located on Bristol’s harbourside, the newly acquired hotel will now undergo a phased £11.5 million refurbishment programme covering guest rooms and public areas.
The investment will see the property updated in line with the Leonardo Royal Hotels brand while retaining elements of its existing local character.
Guest rooms will include complimentary Wi-Fi, flat-screen televisions, tea and coffee-making facilities, in-room safes, work desks and ironing facilities.
Food and beverage facilities will include Leo’s Bar and Restaurant.
The hotel will also offer a fitness centre and on-site parking alongside nine meeting and event spaces capable of accommodating up to 400 delegates.
Jason Carruthers, MD of Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland said: “We are delighted to welcome The Bristol Hotel into the Leonardo Hotels family. With its outstanding harbourside location, strong reputation and excellent facilities, Leonardo Royal Hotel Bristol is a fantastic addition to our growing portfolio. This acquisition reflects our continued commitment to investing in high-quality hotels in key destinations and delivering exceptional experiences for both business and leisure guests.”
The acquisition forms part of the wider growth strategy of Leonardo Hotels’ parent company, Fattal Hotels.
The group has also made acquisitions across New York, France, Spain and Greece and currently owns and operates 332 hotels across more than 140 destinations, comprising more than 59,000 rooms.
Guy Vardi and Yaniv Amzaleg of Fattal Hotel Group commented: “This acquisition kicks off our third partnership with institutional investors in the last 4 years, in which we already secured more than 850 million euros of equity for new acquisitions. We are grateful for the continued trust placed in us by the investors of Fattal Partnerships. We look forward to continuing and expanding our international hospitality platform with more than 330 hotels across 22 countries, creating long-term value for our partners and stakeholders.”
The acquisition and refurbishment will further expand Leonardo Hotels’ presence in Bristol while adding another property to its Leonardo Royal portfolio.
