Hilton has opened Hale Hōkūala Kauaʻi, marking the debut of Curio Collection by Hilton in Hawaiʻi.

The 210-room lifestyle resort, including 23 suites, officially opened on 30 September within the Hōkūala Resort community overlooking Nāwiliwili Bay and neighbouring Kalapakī Beach.
Accommodation includes private lānais and views across the Pacific Ocean, Hāʻupu Mountain and the Ocean Course at Hōkūala.
The resort’s cultural programme, E Ala Ka Pilina, meaning ‘The Awakening of Connection’, has been developed with local practitioners, educators, historians, artisans, charities and community organisations.
Programming will incorporate on-property activities, excursions and culinary experiences, with future themes spanning agriculture, lei making, traditional aquaculture, land stewardship, hula and Hawaiian storytelling.
Danny Hughes, President, Americas at Hilton, said: “The opening of Hale Hōkūala Kauaʻi marks an exciting milestone as we introduce Curio Collection by Hilton to Hawaiʻi.
“For more than six decades, Hilton has been proud to welcome guests to the islands, sharing the warmth and hospitality of our team members. Hale Hōkūala builds on that legacy with a resort that reflects the rich culture and spirit of Kauaʻi while offering travelers a truly unique way to experience the destination.”
Food and beverage is led by Executive Chef Hans Lentz and Director of Food & Beverage Romina Migliorini.

The resort was designed by Hart Howerton and AHL, with interiors by Looney & Associates.
Its open-air spaces, walkways and private lānais have been developed around connections with the surrounding landscape, with locally influenced artwork used throughout the property.
Brooke Thomas, Brand Leader, Curio Collection by Hilton, said: “Curio Collection by Hilton is defined by hotels that immerse guests in one-of-a-kind moments and reflect the spirit of the destinations they call home.
“Hale Hōkūala Kauaʻi brings that promise to life, pairing contemporary island design, a distinctive culinary point of view and curated programming that celebrates local people and traditions.”
Facilities include a swimming pool and fitness centre alongside access to spa and wellness facilities, tennis and pickleball courts within the wider Hōkūala resort community.
