Sodexo UK & Ireland has renewed and expanded its catering partnership with Transport for London for a further three years, with an option to extend the agreement by an additional year.

The new contract commenced on 1 September 2026 and retains 25 London Underground locations already receiving catering services from Sodexo, including Baker Street, Seven Sisters, Stratford and Earl’s Court.
The agreement also adds three corporate offices and one training facility to the contract.
Sodexo said the four additional locations will see its food services reach around 7,000 more customers each day throughout the contract period.
The company plans to introduce its Everyday mobile app at the additional corporate locations, including Palestra, Pier Walk and Endeavour Square.
The app is designed to provide TfL employees with access to food options across different shift patterns and during peak service periods.
Sodexo will also measure and report on social value delivered through the contract, including sustainable and ethical food sourcing. This will include Fairtrade products and MSC- and ASC-certified seafood.
Employees working on the TfL contract will have access to accredited apprenticeship pathways through Sodexo’s Chef and FM academies, including Level 2 Commis Chef and Level 4 Senior Culinary Chef qualifications.
Sodexo’s WasteWatch food waste reduction programme will also be introduced across the four new sites.
The programme prevented the equivalent of more than 12,500 meals from being wasted across the existing TfL contract during 2025.
Further measures will include reducing single-use plastics and increasing the use of circular approaches to catering equipment, including resurfacing chopping boards, reusable cups and keep-cup schemes.
Sodexo’s Kitchen Works food concept will be introduced across all sites, offering a quarterly rotating menu.
Menus will incorporate dishes from the company’s Journey Home initiative, which uses recipes contributed by Sodexo employees, alongside regional and international dishes.
Hospitality services will also be expanded to include event support in addition to existing staff restaurant and meeting room services.
Sodexo has worked with Transport for London for more than 30 years, supporting employees across London Underground and the bus network alongside organisations including the British Transport Police.
Services are provided 365 days a year, seven days a week, between 7am and 11pm.
Paul Anstey, Chief Executive Officer, Government & Energy at Sodexo UK & Ireland, said: “Continuing our partnership with Transport for London is fantastic news. Retaining and growing this contract is further confidence in the food and services expertise we provide our clients every day. It is also a testament to the dedication of our colleagues who support those that keep our essential transport system running smoothly across central London.
“Building on the solid foundations our people have laid, we now plan to expand our use of technology and digital innovations to ensure we better serve the growing number of customers we have been supporting across TfL’s estate from September.”
