Park Plaza London Riverbank has collaborated with the Natural History Museum to launch a new immersive Dinosaur Family Suite as part of an expansion of the hotel’s family accommodation.

The project has been developed through a licensing collaboration with the Natural History Museum, whose experts advised on the scientific content featured within the suite.
Their involvement covered the prehistoric species, vegetation, fossils and specimens represented in the room alongside elements of its design, layout and guest journey.
Park Plaza and the Natural History Museum also worked with Jon Powell at creative studio P–O–W, which developed the suite’s design and graphics.
The accommodation is divided into two interconnected spaces designed separately for adults and children.
The adult bedroom draws inspiration from a natural history study, incorporating Museum-inspired shelving, maps, fossils and collection details.
A concealed bookcase-style door leads into a children’s bedroom based around the Late Cretaceous Period.
Features include a bespoke bunk bed incorporated into a Tyrannosaurus rex-inspired structure and floor-to-ceiling murals depicting scientifically informed prehistoric species, vegetation and landscapes.
Dinosaur fossils, specimens and tactile features have also been incorporated alongside moss-effect flooring, books, guides and hidden educational elements designed to encourage exploration and learning.
Suat Binkaya, Senior General Manager at Park Plaza London Riverbank, said: “Families are one of our fastest-growing guest segments, and we know that when they come to London, their main priority is making lasting memories together.
“The Natural History Museum Dinosaur Family Suite gives them a head start on that from the moment they check in. Working with the Natural History Museum’s experts and creative studio P-O-W, we’ve built a room that’s part of the adventure.
Maxine Lister, Head of Licensing at the Natural History Museum, said: “For many families, a visit to the Natural History Museum is a core memory, roaming through the galleries to discover dinosaurs and the natural world.
“We are incredibly excited to be bringing that wonder and magic outside the walls of the museum building and into the Park Plaza hallways and Natural History Museum Dinosaur Family Suite.
“Together with Park Plaza London Riverbank, we have created a new way for families to immerse themselves in a wonderful prehistoric adventure together, from the comfort of their own hotel room.”
The launch builds on Park Plaza London Riverbank’s existing family offer, which includes studios and suites, family dining and an indoor swimming pool.
The hotel is located close to London’s South Bank and a range of the capital’s visitor attractions.
