Market Place Food Hall will open its new London Victoria Station venue on Friday 16 October, bringing ten independent food traders to the transport hub.
Located within Victoria Place Shopping Centre, the 180-seat venue will have entrances from the main station concourse, taxi rank and Eccleston Bridge.
Market Place describes the development as the UK’s first food hall located inside a railway station.
Live train departure screens will be installed inside the venue, allowing customers to monitor services while eating and drinking.
The food hall will feature ten traders spanning Argentinian, Greek, Japanese, Nigerian, Caribbean, Italian, Korean, Latin American and Thai influences.
Argentinian Grill will serve flame-grilled meats, steaks and barbecue dishes, while Hide & Greek will offer gyros, wraps, salad boxes and loaded fries.
Inamo Sukoshi will provide sushi and Japanese-inspired street food, with Jollof Mama serving dishes centred on Nigerian and wider West African flavours.
Limin will offer Caribbean-Indian dishes including jerk chicken roti, curried goat, doubles and samosas, while Made in Puglia will specialise in Italian pizza.
The remaining line-up comprises Korean-inspired operator SABA, Streat Latin, Thai House and The Duck Shed.
Alongside the food offer, Market Place Victoria will have a dedicated bar serving cocktails and craft beer, with screens showing major sporting events.
The venue is being positioned for a mixture of commuter trade, after-work visits and longer social occasions.
Market Place will run a series of promotions during its opening month.
Between 16 and 26 October, 50 promotional offers will be made available each day from 5pm, providing 550 offers across the first 11 days of trading.
Happy Hour will run from Monday to Friday between 3pm and 7pm, including £5 Margaritas and pints.
New customers signing up to the Market Place rewards platform will also receive a complimentary welcome drink, while a separate free drink reward will be available when spending £10 or more.
Holly Hilton, Marketing Director at Market Place Food Hall, said: “Victoria is one of the busiest stations in the country, so we wanted to create something that feels completely different from the usual train station food experience.
“We want to make grabbing a proper meal before your train just as quick and easy as standing in a queue to pay for a meal deal, but with 10 independent food traders, great drinks and a proper place to sit and enjoy it.
“And because we have the live departure screen inside the food hall, you can even sit back with a pint, keep an eye on your train and know exactly when it’s time to head to the platform. It’s about making the journey feel like part of the experience, rather than something you simply rush through.”
The Victoria opening will join Market Place Food Hall locations at Leicester Square, St Paul’s, Vauxhall, Harrow and Peckham.
