JM Submarines UK Ltd, the master franchisee for Jersey Mike’s in the UK and Ireland, has appointed Satnam Leihal as Chief Executive Officer ahead of the sandwich brand’s market entry.
Leihal will lead the UK and Ireland business, overseeing the development of Jersey Mike’s local operations, franchise platform and restaurant estate.
The appointment comes as Jersey Mike’s prepares to open its first UK restaurant in London this November, marking the beginning of a wider rollout across the two markets.
Leihal will work alongside Jersey Mike’s Founder Peter Cancro and the wider leadership team as the US brand establishes its operations in the UK and Ireland.
He brings experience across hospitality, franchising and retail, with a career focused on scaling customer-led businesses, developing franchise platforms and building teams.

Founded in the US, Jersey Mike’s has a 70-year history and specialises in made-to-order hot and cold subs.
JM Submarines UK Ltd said Leihal’s appointment adds operational and commercial experience as it develops its growth strategy for the UK and Ireland.
Further details of the company’s expansion plans are expected to be announced as the rollout progresses.
