Much-loved North London neighbourhood restaurant Prawn on the Lawn will close its doors on Friday 10 July after thirteen years of service.

Founded by Katie and Rick Toogood, Prawn on the Lawn began as a small fishmonger offering cured fish and seasonal small plates before evolving into a celebrated restaurant.
The restaurant became known for its daily-changing menu inspired by Asian and Mediterranean flavours, earning recognition across the hospitality industry.
Since opening in London in 2013, the business has grown from its North London roots into a family of restaurants, including three locations in Padstow, Cornwall.
Commenting on the closure, Katie and Rick said: “Looking back over the last thirteen years, and everything we’ve built from London to Cornwall, has been incredible. Since opening Prawn on the Lawn in 2013 in London, we’ve opened three more restaurants in Padstow and have welcomed three children along the way.
“London was our very first opening and will always be a special place for us. This feels like a celebration and a marker of everything we’ve achieved during this chapter of our lives.
“We want to say a huge thank you to our guests and everyone we’ve worked with along the way – it’s been incredibly touching and emotional to reflect on it all.”
Katie and Rick will now turn their full focus to their three Padstow restaurants: Prawn on the Lawn, Little Prawn and Barnaby’s.
They will also continue preparing for future projects.
