Taro will open its 11th restaurant in Holloway, North London, on Friday 10 July 2026.

Located on Holloway Road, moments from Emirates Stadium and the Nags Head Market area, the Japanese restaurant group will bring its fresh and authentic menu to one of London’s most diverse neighbourhoods.
The 62-cover restaurant is inspired by the Japanese concept of Taishu Shokudo, meaning an everyday dining room.
The menu will include Taro’s popular bento boxes, handmade sushi and sashimi, ramen, udon, rice dishes, noodles, sides and traditional Japanese favourites.
Best-selling dishes from across the Taro group will also feature, including gyoza, double-fried karaage, shoyu ramen and the chicken teriyaki bento box.
As a Holloway exclusive, and in homage to Arsenal FC nearby, the new restaurant will serve an Arsenal Special Roll.
The dish will feature prawn tempura, cream cheese and avocado, topped with tuna and a house special dressing in red to reflect the club’s colours.
Taro is also positioning the new Holloway restaurant as a family-friendly destination.
Options will include a sushi roll set, chicken katsu set and deep-fried chicken with salad and rice, all served with a choice of juices.
The drinks menu will feature cocktails including the Yuzu and Elderflower Spritz, the Taro Cocktail with shochu, plum wine and mango, and the Lychee Martini Cocktail.
Japanese beer, sake, wine and soft drinks will also be available.
Desserts will include matcha cheesecake, Japanese green tea ice cream, mochi ice cream and dorayaki, the traditional Japanese pancake.
Mr Taro, founder of Taro restaurant group, said: “It’s been an exciting and busy year so far with the launch of Crystal Palace and now in Holloway, and we can’t wait for the Holloway locals to come and join us.
“The area has so much to offer, with some brilliant and creative restaurants around us, and so we’re excited to offer the Holloway community our fresh and authentic Japanese cuisine to the mix.
“Opening in areas that have a strong, local community feel has worked really well for us, with our recent openings including Brentwood, Walthamstow and Crystal Palace, and we feel confident that Taro will thrive in Holloway as well.”
The new Holloway restaurant has been designed to appeal to local residents, students, families and football supporters looking for pre-match food close to Emirates Stadium.
The opening further strengthens Taro’s presence across London and the surrounding areas, as the group continues to grow its neighbourhood-led Japanese dining offer.
