IoH Welcomes Selection of IHG’s UK & Ireland Portfolio into Membership

IHG Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, with over 6,600 hotels across more than 100 countries and 20 much-loved brands including InterContinental, Kimpton, Holiday Inn, voco and Crowne Plaza, has joined 10 of its UK&I leased and managed properties into the Institute of Hospitality (IoH), membership.

Welcoming some of IHG’s team from their luxury London properties, Kimpton Fitzroy London and InterContinental London Park Lane, into membership at an onboarding session, IoH CEO Robert Richardson FIH MI commented: “I’m absolutely delighted to welcome 10 IHG Hotels & Resorts hotels as Company Members of the Institute. Their decision to join us as the world’s largest professional body for hospitality, reflects their commitment to the Institute, to supporting their global team and investing in professional development.

He continued: “At a time when attracting, developing and retaining talent is vital, it further reinforces why IHG was named Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For in 2025, is a Great Place to Work Certified company and a top employer in the UK.”

IHG have sponsored employees into the professional membership from Kimpton Fitzroy London, Kimpton Charlotte Square, Kimpton Blythswood Square, Kimpton Clocktower, InterContinental Edinburgh The George, InterContinental London Park Lane, voco Grand Central Glasgow, voco Cardiff, voco Oxford Spires and voco Oxford Thames.

Through company membership, hospitality businesses can sponsor six or more employees into IoH membership. IHG members will benefit from access to the Institute’s wide range of resources including world-class mentoring, professional recognition, on-demand learning and resources and global networking opportunities.

IHG joins many others hospitality businesses adding IoH membership to their global People Strategy including Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland, Maybourne Hotel Group, Doyle Collection, Red Carnation Aramark, CH&Co and Celtic Collection.
