By Angela Green: Bōkan and Cicchetti Knightsbridge reach out to help the Institute of Hospitality Youth Council.
H&C News recently reached out to friends across our industry for donations for the Institute of Hospitality annual golf day to help raise awareness of and funds for the institute’s Youth Council.
The Youth Council was founded in 2021 by Institute of Hospitality CEO Robert Richardson FIH. Members of the council, known as the Aspiring in Hospitality Group, act as ambassadors for the Institute of Hospitality intensifying the hospitality’s appeal to ‘Gen Z’ and younger millennials, our industry’s dominant age demographic.
One of the people we asked was Rochelle Cohen, Managing Director & Founder of Roche Communications. Roche Communications based in the heart of London, is one of the city’s leading specialist PR and marketing agencies. Restaurants, bars, hotels, and pubs are their world, and they’ve been communicating British hospitality to the media since 1993.
A few days after we reached out a reply from one of the Roche Communications team, Hannah Edwards, on behalf of their clients Cicchetti Knightsbridge, part of the San Carlo Group, and Bōkan.
So, after a day of golf at The Belfry and following dinner, one of the Prize Draw/Auction lots is… a £150 gift voucher for lunch or dinner. Located on Hans Road, adjacent to Harrods, Cicchetti Knightsbridge opens seven days a week serving up freshly prepared regionally inspired plates, mostly using ingredients sourced direct from artisan producers in Italy and perfect for sharing.
We also received a voucher for afternoon tea for two at Bōkan. Located in the heart of London’s financial district, Bōkan is set over the 37th, 38th and 39th floors at the very top of the Novotel London Canary Wharf. There’s a restaurant, bar and rooftop terrace, all with spectacular 360° views and on-point industrial chic interiors.
As the organisers of the Institute of Hospitality annual golf day, the H&C News team would like to say “thank you” to Rochelle, Hannah, and the teams at Bōkan and Cicchetti Knightsbridge for helping the institute’s Youth Council do even more for our industry.
