By Angela Green: Integrity International Group confirms acquisition of Atlas House.
Integrity International Group has acquired Atlas House, together with the Crescent buildings, Tower Hill.
Atlas House is a Grade II listed building situated in the City of London, between the Guildhall, St Paul’s Cathedral and the Bank of England, on the junction of King Street, Queen Street, and Cheapside.
The Crescent, a collection of Georgian buildings, adjoins Blue Orchid’s Tower Suites hotel and benefits from views of the Tower of London and the historic Roman Wall, in a prime City location.
Tony Matharu, Founder and Chairman of Integrity International Group and Executive Chairman of Blue Orchid Hospitality, commented: “The recent acquisition of Atlas House and the Crescent portfolio demonstrates our continued commitment to invest in and breathe new life into London property, particularly those buildings at the end of their previous lives, ensuring that London remains the best place to live, work, visit, and invest.
“The team at Integrity International Group has unrivalled expertise in acquiring, developing and operating first-class hospitality facilities. We look forward to continuing to make a positive difference to central London and its world-class offering to international and domestic visitors, workers, and residential communities alike.”
The acquisition of Atlas House and Crescent add to the group’s portfolio of luxury independent hotels, apartments, suites, residences, and venues. These include the Westminster-based Wellington and Rochester hotels; Tower Suites; Tower Residences and 55 Broadway, the Grade I listed building identified as London’s first skyscraper, set to be repurposed into a 526-room leading hotel in St James’s Park.
Integrity International Group was established by Tony Matharu, the founder of Grange Hotels, which he ran as the Group Managing Director, until its key London sites were sold to Jurys Inn (now Leanardo Hotels) in 2019. A true Londoner, Tony Matharu has delivered over 2,500 hotel rooms and 1,750 jobs throughout London, and with the expansion of the Blue Orchid collection continues to create local employment opportunities.
Integrity International Group recognises that the most sustainable way to create new value in London is to reinvest in existing buildings, particularly heritage sites built for a different demographic. The purchase of Atlas House and Crescent provides exciting opportunities to transform landmark properties into world-leading hotels, whilst retaining, restoring and enhancing spectacular historic London sites.
