Star Quality Hospitality Consultant and Amazon Best Selling author Monica Or held her official book launch of ‘Star Quality Talent’ at Café Spice Namaste on 25th October 2018 with Chef Patron Cyrus Todiwala OBE DL. It was held to celebrate not only the launch of the book, but also to thank those that contributed to the book.
Due to the constant negative press that hospitality receives Or thought it was time to spread the positive news of actually how great this industry really is. The main purpose of the book is to promote the hospitality industry as a fabulous place to work and have a fulfilling career.
Within the book are the inspirational stories and advice from hospitality professionals working in the industry, and in the many organisations that can help individuals gain a rewarding career in hospitality. Regardless of their background, whether a school leaver, university graduate, career returner, career changer, ex offender or someone who has fallen on hard times there is an hospitality organisation that can help them.
There are links in the book to the 24 video interviews with these professionals that can be viewed online. There is also a section using the acronym ‘HOSPITALITY’ that gives guidance on the attitude and behaviour required of someone who is thinking of working in our industry.
When first released on Amazon it was promoted as their Number 1 Hot New Release and has consistently been in the Amazon Best Sellers list for Kindle Business Hospitality, Travel and Tourism.
One of the organisations interviewed for the book is Hospitality Action. There is information on the great charity work they carry out to support those working and retired from the hospitality industry on page 121.
