Legendary Mayfair restaurant Quaglino’s is delighted to announce it has appointed Nuno Goncalves to the role of Executive Head Chef.
Nuno brings with him over 10 years experience working in prestigious restaurants includingMichelin starred The Waterside Inn and Galvin at Windows and working directly with renownedchefs Chris and Jeff Galvin, Albert Roux and Gary Rhodes. Previously, Nuno put his culinary skills to the test in one of the UK’s most illustrious competitions, the Roux Scholarship, landing himself in the London finals.
Heavily inspired by classical French cuisine, the Executive Head Chef will pay homage to Quaglino’s rich history. Not only will Nuno be setting out to develop the iconic dishes at Quaglino’s, he will also be adding elements of vegan and vegetarian dishes to the menu.
Utilising the finest ingredients and with a focus on seasonal produce, Nuno will start by introducing a small selection of new dishes this year. He will focus on streamlining the menu to ensure that every addition is of the highest standard as well as maintaining the Quaglino’s classics. Guests can enjoy Nuno’s fully fledged menu at Quaglino’s from January 2019.

Nuno was born in Portugal, prior to joining Quaglino’s he worked at Aqua Shard as Executive Head Chef for 8 months. He has also previously worked at La Chapelle, Le Pont de la Tour, 12 Hay Hill Private in Mayfair and The Corinthia Hotel.
