Edrington-Beam Suntory UK appoints Nick Temperley to lead London Operation

October 30, 2018

Nick Temperley, General Manager (London), Edrington-Beam Suntory UK

Former Head of Reserve Brands at Diageo, Nick Temperley, has joined Edrington-Beam Suntory UK to become its new General Manager for London.

The appointment will see Nick join the UK Executive team and take responsibility for the running of London operations across specialist, luxury and on-trade accounts, as well as wholesale, cash-and-carry and convenience.

As Head of Reserve Brands, he was responsible for the performance and equity of Diageo’s premium spirits portfolio in Great Britain and Ireland.

He also held roles as Diageo’s Investor Relations Director, as a divisional Finance Director based in Amsterdam and in Innovation and Commercial finance manager roles, having started his career at Ford Motor Company. Temperley holds an MBA from London Business School, where he still acts as a guest lecturer and is Chairman of the Walpole Luxury Management Programme.

Mark Riley, Managing Director of Edrington-Beam Suntory UK, said: “Nick joins Edrington-Beam Suntory UK at an exciting time in our development. Our key city strategy has already driven substantial growth in London.  With his leadership and proven track record of building and launching brands into the premium category, we believe there is immense unrealised potential.”

Nick Temperley, General Manager for London at Edrington-Beam Suntory UK, added: “I can’t wait to get started at Edrington-Beam Suntory UK. It’s home to so many leading premium brands and the team has built a formidable presence in the market already, so there are strong foundations to build on. I look forward to working with the team to unlock the next phase of growth in one of the most vibrant premium spirits markets in the world.”
