DrinkUp.London is pleased to welcome their newest recruit, Ali Dedianko, who joins the team as Festival Director for London Beer Week (13-19 March 2017).
Ali has made the move to beer from spirits, having spent the past 6 years at Belvedere Vodka, where she worked as Global Brand Ambassador before being promoted to Director of Education.
Although the jump from the world of premium vodka to that of all things hopped may seem unusual, beer has always been Ali’s personal passion and she has dedicated much of her spare time over the past years to exploring breweries, meeting the people behind the liquid and tasting beer both in the UK and abroad.
Hannah Sharman-Cox, MD and Founder of DrinkUp.London said: “London Beer Week has grown exponentially since its launch in 2015 and is now very ready to be taken to the next level. With her enthusiasm for the beer industry alongside her vast experience of drinks events and trade and consumer education, we felt that there was no better person to drive the festival forward. We are delighted at such a strong addition to the company”.
In her new role as Festival Director, Ali will not only be keeping DrinkUp.London at the forefront of the beer world, but will also be throwing keg parties, hosting taproom tours and taking charge of the very first DrinkUp.London Beer Edit, which takes place during London Beer Week at The Oval Space.
Ali, who starts in her role this week, said: “I’ve been so fortunate to have seen the world while working in my previous role, but after years of living out of a suitcase, I am thrilled to be able to plant some roots in London, and dedicate my career to my passion for beer. I have always admired the talented ladies of DrinkUp.London. The work they do and the events they produce are second to none, and I feel very privileged to be a part of their team.”
