Chi Kitchen has announced a significant partnership with Debenhams, one of the UK’s largest department stores. The partnership will see the launch of a new and exciting Pan-Asian restaurant and Champagne bar. The launch of the new brand continues owner Eddie Lim’s partnership strategy to pair with premium fashion and beauty retailers.
The menu has been designed by Group Executive Chef Ian Pengelley, and includes unique Pan-Asian dishes such as Korean omelette with seafood – prepared similarly to Pajeon, a Korean green and includes pancake, Kaya Toast (with Singaporean coconut jam) and rice porridge with chicken.
The restaurant has been designed by Harrisons to create a relaxed, casual dining space using beautifully contrasting materials, including; marble, concrete, copper, oak and leather. Furthermore, different seating levels, from the high stools at the dining counter to the lower level deep booths, mean guests can choose between more intimate or open dining experiences.
Exotic, colourful and incredibly tasty food
Eddie Lim, owner of the acclaimed Mango restaurant and Chi Kitchen said: “We are absolutely delighted to be collaborating with Debenhams. Growing our business by partnering with the right brands is central to our strategy. Our aim is to build a dining experience exclusive to Debenhams offering, not only fantastic Pan-Asian food but that also delights Debenhams customers. The food will be exotic, colourful and incredibly tasty. Birmingham’s food scene is exploding and we are excited to be launching the UK’s first Chi Kitchen there.”
Mark Jordan, Director of Space Planning, Debenhams added: “We are delighted to be enhancing our dining offer, it represents a significant strategic move for the business. Our customers like having a choice of in-store dining and by partnering with a fantastic, unique brand such as Chi Kitchen we are making great food and drink part of the Debenhams shopping experience. We are very proud to be working exclusively with Chi Kitchen on this new concept and are look forward to introducing it to our customers in the coming months.”
