Rob Owen, formerly executive chef of Gloucestershire-based Wesley House Limited, owners of The Royal Oak at Gretton, 2 Rosette restaurant and wine bar, Wesley House in Winchcombe and the Wesley House outside catering brand has joined Creed Foodservice as its new Development Chef.
With more than 16 years’ hospitality experience, latterly in Gloucestershire hotels and restaurants, Rob started his career with Raymond Blanc’s Brasserie chain, moving on to The George Hotel and Monty’s Brasserie in Cheltenham where he secured two rosettes. In 2011 he enjoyed a time running a cookery school kitchen before being appointed Chef Manager of the Royal Oak at Gretton and established it as one of the county’s best destination gastro pubs. He was appointed Group Executive Chef two years later.
Creed Foodservice
A large regional delivered wholesale business with depots in both Gloucester and Ilkeston in Derbyshire, Creed Foodservice is a ‘one stop shop’ for the supply of quality food and non-food items to hotels and restaurants, coffee shops, schools and tourist attractions.
As Development Chef, Rob’s role will be to work with Creed customers on menu development or product tasting for example to help enhance their business. Creed Foodservice has its own development kitchen based in Gloucester which is available for customers and suppliers for hands-on sessions.
