Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield with more than fifty locations for visitors to eat and drink has reported a sales increase this summer across their foodservice portfolio led by a combination of experiential activities.
Foodservice sales increased by 6.7% in August as visitors made a day of their trip to Meadowhall, shopping, dining and enjoying the experiential activities.
This summer saw Meadowhall’s beach returned for the school holidays, complete with a double decker bus hosting a range of activities for children and a series of take-over days by the centre’s retailers. The beach was enjoyed by over 100,000 visitors, helping to drive a 3.2% increase in footfall during August.
Other events in Meadowhall’s annual calendar include a Christmas concert, which is enjoyed by over 15,000 people, fund raising for local charities, school holiday activities aimed at families, commercialisation events, and unique experiences, such as the artisan food markets in Park Lane.
