Hospitality and Leisure Management has been ranked 4th place in the QS World University Subject Rankings 2018.
This prestigious ranking follows in the footsteps of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management being given a top-five ranking and five stars in the most recent QS World University Rankings. The School is also currently ranked number one in both the Guardian University Guide 2017 and the Complete University Guide 2017 and is ranked in the top five globally for its publications.
The rankings now cover 46 disciplines in total, highlighting the world’s top-performing universities in each academic area.
University of Surrey subjects appear in an impressive 17 out of 46 subject tables. Nursing has remained in the 51-100 bracket and Sociology and Psychology both remain in the 151-200 rankings.
Professor Graham Miller, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, said: “This ranking simply reinforces our world-class reputation for hospitality, tourism and events, and shows that we offer our students, stimulating and industry-relevant programmes. This is why we are very proud to be continuing this tradition and welcome this ranking as recognition of our continued success as a global leader in our field.”
The QS World University Subject Rankings are compiled annually to help prospective students identify the leading universities in a particular subject. The rankings are based upon academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact.
