The Hallmark Hotel London Chigwell Prince Regent, located on Manor Road has just unveiled 11 brand new bedrooms, part of a 6 month long investment programme at the hotel which will include the newly named Gwynne Suite.
The Grade II listed hotel is sat in the heart of Chigwell, part of Hallmark Hotels; one of the UK’s fastest growing brands, is one of a number of hotels to be invested in as part of an extensive overhaul across the collection. The 11 totally revamped new bedrooms are now complete, with a further 22 fully refurbished bedrooms, scheduled for completion by early 2018.
Once the heart of Boy’s Garden City – a Barnados home offering accommodation to the charity’s flock of children in need, the hotel was formerly known as Gwynne House. In homage to the hotel’s heritage and history – the existing furniture from the refurbished rooms will be donated to Barnados.
The news also coincides with the launch of the hotel’s new ‘Best of British’ menu. Inspired by the exceptional, high-quality British produce available in the countryside surrounding the portfolio’s 28 hotels, with a strong focus on local provenance, Hallmark Hotels has worked to carefully source delicious British ingredients for its menu, whilst supporting local British farmers and producers. Further additions have been made to the existing drinks menu – with the arrival of new craft beers and ciders and sparkling wines from Chapel Down, produced in the vineyards of Kent, which will now be available to compliment the British cuisine.
Cihan Gokensel, General Manager at Hallmark Hotel London Chigwell Prince Regent comments “This is a very exciting time for the hotel with lots of new and positive developments on the horizon. We pride ourselves on providing our guests with the warmest of welcomes and evoking that ‘home away from home’ feeling throughout their stay. With the forthcoming investment and the arrival of our new Best of British menu, we hope to continue to better the guest experience and we look forward to celebrating later in the year with a local community fund raising event, when the work at the hotel is complete.“
