IDILIQ Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Wyndham Grand La Cala Golf Residences on Spain’s Costa del Sol, introducing a new premium resort development in the Andalusian countryside.

Located within the La Cala Golf destination near Mijas, the resort marks the company’s most upscale opening to date and forms part of its continued expansion across Spain.
According to IDILIQ, the October opening introduces 30 two- and three-bedroom self-catering residences designed to combine private accommodation with hotel-style facilities and services.
Each residence is arranged across two floors, featuring open-plan living areas, floor-to-ceiling windows, fully equipped kitchens, large terraces and private gardens.
The majority of residences also include a private swimming pool or hot tub, while daily housekeeping is provided as part of the accommodation offering.
The development has been designed to appeal to families, groups and golf travellers seeking larger accommodation alongside the facilities traditionally associated with luxury resort hospitality.
On-site amenities include an infinity swimming pool with a dedicated bar, while a gym and co-working space are scheduled to open in 2027.
Guests will also have access to selected facilities at the neighbouring La Cala Resort, including its spa, gym and racket sports club.
Additional dining options are available at IDILIQ’s sister property, Wyndham Grand Costa del Sol, situated approximately 20 minutes away by car.
Golf forms a central part of the development’s positioning, with three courses at La Cala Golf located nearby, alongside a golf academy and driving range.
The resort also offers a complimentary Golf Concierge service, providing assistance with golf-related arrangements and access to courses across the surrounding region.
The location places guests close to several established golf destinations on the Costa del Sol, while also providing access to the area’s wider leisure and tourism attractions.
Wyndham Grand La Cala Golf Residences is situated approximately 30 minutes from Málaga Airport and within reach of the coastal town of La Cala de Mijas, which offers restaurants, bars and beaches.
Marbella’s Old Town and Puerto Banús are also approximately 30 minutes away by car, while the surrounding Andalusian countryside offers opportunities for excursions to destinations including Ronda.
An on-site concierge team will support guests with restaurant reservations, local recommendations, watersports and other activities during their stay.
The opening further develops IDILIQ’s portfolio of managed and branded resorts, which combines residential-style accommodation with hospitality services across established leisure destinations.
Wyndham Grand La Cala Golf Residences follows the April 2026 opening of Wyndham Portocolom in Mallorca, which marked another addition to the group’s Spanish resort portfolio.
The two openings form part of IDILIQ Hotels & Resorts’ wider strategy to strengthen its presence in Mediterranean leisure markets, with a particular focus on spacious self-catering accommodation supported by resort facilities.
With Wyndham Grand La Cala Golf Residences now introduced to the market, the company is continuing to develop its premium accommodation offering on the Costa del Sol, combining golf tourism, residential-style living and managed hospitality services.
