Cheval Blanc Courchevel is expanding its luxury accommodation offering with the introduction of two private chalets in December 2026, combining independent residential living with the personalised hospitality services of its established Alpine property.

Cheval Blanc Courchevel luxury chalets

Located opposite the original Cheval Blanc Maison in Courchevel’s Jardin Alpin, the five-bedroom and nine-bedroom chalets have been designed to offer greater privacy while providing guests with access to the services and facilities associated with the luxury hospitality brand.

The development introduces a residential approach to the property’s accommodation, with dedicated hospitality teams, including Majordomes and private culinary specialists, providing tailored services throughout each stay.

The five-bedroom chalet covers 900 sq m, while the larger nine-bedroom residence extends across 1,500 sq m. Both properties can be combined to create a single 2,400 sq m private residence.

The chalets retain architectural elements associated with the original Cheval Blanc Courchevel Maison, including its distinctive ochre-coloured exterior, while introducing contemporary interpretations of traditional Alpine building materials.

Charred timber features prominently across the façades, with interlocking elements creating a modern interpretation of traditional wooden craftsmanship.

Large windows and expansive communal areas have been designed to maximise natural light and provide views across the surrounding mountains, including La Saulire and the Col de la Loze.

The bedrooms offer a more intimate setting, incorporating warm materials, carefully selected textures and the property’s signature Mountain Chic fragrance.

Both chalets provide private access to the ski slopes, connecting guests with the extensive skiing facilities available throughout the Courchevel area.

Each residence includes a private swimming pool, cinema, fitness room, sauna, hammam and dedicated Guerlain massage rooms, creating a comprehensive wellness offering within the accommodation.

The nine-bedroom chalet features a double-height swimming pool, where natural light enters through extensive glazing, alongside a grand salon with two-metre-high fireplaces.

Additional entertainment facilities include music rooms, games rooms equipped with Formula One and multi-sport simulators, and Le Carrousel, a dedicated children’s entertainment area.

The larger residence also incorporates a dining room overlooking the Alpine landscape, featuring an artistic installation by Brazilian artist Vik Muniz.

A private wine cellar provides an additional setting for bespoke dining experiences, supported by the property’s dedicated culinary team.

The five-bedroom chalet includes a principal bedroom designed as a suite, while the nine-bedroom property features several suites and a principal bedroom occupying the entire top floor.

The communal interiors have been designed by architect Peter Marino, who has combined bespoke furniture with specially selected artworks and materials.

The interior design includes straw marquetry by French artist Lison de Caunes, landscape frescoes by Vik Muniz and geometric works by Guy de Rougemont.

Additional artistic elements include woven and gilded straw tapestries and designs by René Bidet, reflecting the emphasis on craftsmanship throughout the residences.

The design approach combines contemporary architecture with traditional Alpine influences, creating accommodation intended to balance spacious communal living with private areas for relaxation.

The new chalets will operate alongside Cheval Blanc Courchevel’s existing Maison, extending the property’s offering for guests seeking exclusive-use accommodation supported by hotel-style services.

The expansion reflects continued development within the luxury hospitality sector, where private residences, personalised dining and dedicated wellness facilities are increasingly incorporated into established hotel brands.

The two residences are scheduled to welcome guests from December 2026, ahead of the winter ski season in the French Alps.
