Vienna House by Wyndham has expanded its presence in Germany with the opening of Vienna House by Wyndham Frankfurt South in the city’s Sachsenhausen district.

Located on the south bank of the Main River, the hotel currently offers 104 rooms and suites alongside food and beverage, meeting and wellness facilities.
The opening strengthens Vienna House by Wyndham’s presence across the DACH region and adds to Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main area.
Dimitris Manikis, President EMEA, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts said of the opening: “Frankfurt is a city that brings people, ideas and opportunities together, making it one of Europe’s most dynamic destinations for both business and leisure travel. The opening of Vienna House by Wyndham Frankfurt South reflects our commitment to growing Vienna House in sought-after markets while celebrating the individuality of each hotel. By combining the property’s local character with Wyndham’s global reach, powerful distribution network and loyalty programme, we are creating more opportunities for guests to discover, connect and explore.”
Originally converted from an office building in 2019, the property has now joined the Vienna House by Wyndham portfolio.
Its design incorporates material documenting the building’s history and transformation, including historic photographs, original plans and archive material, alongside a collection of travel photography from members of the hotel team.
That approach extends into the meeting facilities, with the Alexander boardroom named after the building’s architect, developer and owner Alexander Tesler.
The room incorporates Tesler’s original two-tonne marble conference table, which previously formed part of his office and travelled with him from the Philippines to Germany.
Tim Lichtenberg, Managing Director, Vienna House by Wyndham Frankfurt South commented: “Having previously worked with the Vienna House by Wyndham brand, I have experienced first-hand, how its individual character and approach to storytelling can turn a stay into a distinct experience. At Vienna House by Wyndham Frankfurt South, our ambition is to bring that philosophy to life in a way that feels authentic and unmistakably connected to the building’s own history. From the traces of its transformation over the years to our new meeting and event spaces and a rooftop well known across the region for its skyline views and restaurant, every element is designed to encourage guests to connect and experience Frankfurt from a different perspective. We look forward to welcoming international travellers and local guests alike, creating memorable moments that extend well beyond an overnight stay.”
Food and beverage is centred around The Blasky, the hotel’s full-service rooftop restaurant, which serves regional à la carte dishes alongside a sharing menu and breakfast.
The rooftop also includes a bar overlooking the Frankfurt skyline.
Additional facilities include a lobby mini market, parking for cars and bicycles, fitness and sauna facilities and seven flexible meeting rooms with capacity for up to 200 guests.
Among the event spaces is Palmengarten, named after Frankfurt’s botanical garden and featuring planting that extends onto an adjoining terrace.
The hotel currently operates 104 rooms, including suites and loft-style accommodation, with a further development programme under way.
Approximately 700 sq m of previously unused space is being converted to enlarge the lobby and meeting areas, while upgrades are also planned for the outdoor garden.
A further 35 rooms are due to be added by the end of 2027, increasing the hotel’s total accommodation to 139 rooms and suites.
The Frankfurt opening forms part of the continued international expansion of Vienna House by Wyndham.
Earlier in 2026, the brand entered Vietnam with the opening of Vienna House by Wyndham Charm Long Hai, while Vienna House Easy Vrindavan is planned to open in India in 2029. A debut in Türkiye is also planned.
The new hotel joins Wyndham’s existing presence across the Frankfurt Rhine-Main region, which includes Wyndham Frankfurt Niederrad, Aspire Frankfurt Airport, Trademark Collection by Wyndham and Dolce by Wyndham Bad Nauheim.
