The Webster has opened its first hotel in London, with The Webster Covent Garden now welcoming guests overlooking Lincoln’s Inn Fields.

The 167-room property marks the debut of the new lifestyle hotel brand and brings together accommodation, food and beverage, cultural programming and events space.
Designed by London-based architecture and interior design studio Red Deer, the hotel takes inspiration from magical realism, the literary genre associated with Colombian writer Gabriel García Márquez.
The interiors combine bespoke furniture, artwork by British artists including Henry Ward and Emily Kirby, terrazzo-inspired flooring and library spaces throughout the property.
“We created The Webster around a simple idea that hospitality should bring people and ideas together, while encouraging a deeper connection with the neighbourhood and world around us. London is the perfect place to introduce the brand, with its rich literary heritage, creative energy and appreciation for great food, design and conversation. The Webster Covent Garden is the first expression of this vision, a hotel that feels layered, personal and full of discovery, where guests and locals can come together, linger and make the space their own.” Patrick Chiappetta, CEO, The Webster
Three food and beverage concepts operate within the hotel, created by hospitality trio Daniele Pampagnin, Jake Mason and Carmela Pia.
On the lower ground floor, Carmelina’s is a 100-cover Italian-inspired restaurant featuring an open kitchen, counter dining and dedicated wine bar.
Led by co-founder and chef Daniele Pampagnin, with Head Chef Simone Serafini overseeing the kitchen, the menu focuses on handmade pasta, seasonal produce and seafood.
Carmelina’s Al Banco provides an all-day café and bar offer alongside an outdoor terrace, moving from coffee and breakfast through to lunch, aperitivo and evening drinks.
Carla’s is a late-night cocktail bar located alongside Carmelina’s and led by Bar Manager Peppe Corallo.
The 60-capacity venue combines cocktails and drinks with live entertainment and events and can also be used for private bookings.
“From the beginning, we wanted The Webster Covent Garden to feel like a place you discover rather than simply check into. It’s a hotel, but it’s also a neighbourhood restaurant, a place for coffee, a late-night bar, a terrace, a book club and a space for people to come together. Opening our doors in London is the first expression of that idea, and we’re excited to see guests and locals make The Webster their own.” Joseph Turano, COO, The Webster
The hotel comprises 167 guestrooms, including three suites, across ten floors.
Rooms feature neutral and terracotta tones, hand-knotted wool rugs, bespoke lighting, radios and selected books, while each floor also has a collection allowing guests to exchange books during their stay.
Cultural programming will include literary salons, artist residencies, performances and collaborations with local creatives.
The Webster Book Club will form part of the programme alongside The Daily Edit, a series of events including brunches, guided runs, live music, cocktail pairings and coffee tastings.
Two adaptable meeting and event spaces can accommodate up to 120 guests, with additional areas including Carla’s, sections of Carmelina’s and parts of the terrace also available for private hire.
The property also includes a 24-hour fitness suite.
The Webster Covent Garden is led by General Manager Massimo Varriale.
Rooms start from £350 per night excluding breakfast, with bookings including a £60 food and beverage credit for use across the hotel’s restaurants and bars.
Digital check-in is available, with guests able to use their phone as a room key through Apple Wallet.
Following the London opening, The Webster is planning to continue its expansion with The Webster Times Square in New York in 2027.
