Education caterer Stir Food has appointed Stuart Brown as Regional Operations Director for the South of England in a newly created role.

Reporting directly to CEO Deborah Batchelor, Brown will oversee operations, performance and strategy across the South as part of a new regional structure introduced to support the company’s growth.
Brown brings more than 25 years of managerial experience to the position.
He joins Stir Food from Impact Food Group, where he most recently served as Client Relationship Director and previously held the position of Regional Director, with responsibility for client relationships and operations.
Brown has also held senior operations and compliance roles with Thomas Franks and Holroyd Howe, giving him extensive experience within the education catering sector.
Stir Food currently provides catering services to more than 180 schools, with its operations extending from the East Sussex coast to the Midlands.
Brown will work alongside Stuart Reid, Regional Operations Director for the central region, as the company develops its regional management structure.
Brown said: “I’m genuinely excited to be working alongside the fantastic team at Stir. The way the company combines creativity and innovation with a deep understanding of the nutritional needs and tastes of children and young people means we can provide a catering service that truly delivers.”
Deborah Batchelor CEO, Stir Food, added: “Bringing Stuart on board has been a key milestone in our growth strategy, ensuring we have the depth of capacity, expertise, and experience needed to support our teams, while keeping the personal touch our clients value at the heart of everything we do.
“The combination of Stuart Brown and Stuart Reid brings a brilliant mix of complementary skills and fresh perspectives to the business – it marks a hugely exciting new chapter for Stir.”
Founded by former teacher Deborah Batchelor, Stir Food specialises in education catering, providing school meals with a focus on seasonal menus and nutrition for children and young people.
